Being a fan of Ally, Jake, and Riya is so funny because people hated that finale and while I originally did too (I used to be a major Jake hater, but things have changed quite a bit since), it’s become my favorite somehow.

I still think Ally vs Riya would’ve been better, but I’ll post about that later.

Thinking about how awful Ally’s All-Stars experience was. It’s kind of wild.

James, Hunter, AND Tess were all eliminated in the pre-merge of All-Stars, and then Ashley was the first merge boot. That couldn’t have been fun for Ally. Literally all of her friends are gone halfway through the game.

Then she’s with the heroes alliance, which doesn’t really trust her from the beginning. She’s an outsider the entire time she’s there. (I saw a post on Twitter about this before I deleted it and liked it so much that I screenshotted it.)

She’s also constantly fighting with Jake until the finale, where she has the most ridiculous elimination in the series (aside from Zaid’s, maybe, but hers literally defies logic).

Ashley also would choose to keep Jake over Ally if the vote came down to it, and Ally seems to know this.

Then there’s Ashley getting upset with Ally for… not accepting Jake’s fake apology? The apology he obviously only gave because Ashley wanted him to??

Jake snaps at her and says that she’s the most insecure person he’s ever met, and she genuinely seems upset when he says this. He also says “I feel sorry for Hunter for having to deal with your bullshit” (Why does no one ever bring this up? Yes, Ally was 100% in the wrong for leaving him with the bear, but this was still awful of him to say.)

The game she created herself is broken by Riya (this one’s less serious, but it’s here)

She finally bonds with Connor in the final 4, only for him to be gone THE SAME DAY.

Oh, and neither Connor nor Ashley acknowledges her when she loses in the final 3. Even Fiore seems to feel bad for her here. (I like Connor and Ashley but wth)

She argues with Hunter, too. As much as I love Hunter, he was pretty dismissive of her insecurities. Not to say Ally wasn’t in the wrong at some points though, because she definitely was.

She also sort of becomes friends with Riya and gets advice from her, only for Riya to tell her “You don’t know what real struggles are. You’re a whiny brat who can’t get over some silly internet comments. Grett knew it, I knew it, and so does Hunter!”

Her feelings are constantly invalidated throughout the season, which is made worse by the fact that she’s insecure.

Her mom continues to show disapproval of literally everything Ally cares about in her letter.

She also could’ve died in the finale, and so could other people that she cares about.

Ally cannot catch a break in DCAS 😭

Why is ally ur fav character?

There are several reasons, those being:

1. She is a nerd. I find her references to games very endearing (Her putting leaves over the tent + using minecraft logic). Also love that she created an entire game by herself. She is cringe and she is free and I love that. Also her being an elastigirl fan and absolutely nerding out over the superhero VR challenge.

2. Her relationship with Hunter. Ally trying (and failing) to keep him awake during the sleepathon challenge was sweet. I love that they played the card game that he brought. Hunter drawing her <3 and the conversation they had after. I love them sm. Their relationship isn’t perfect but they care about each other sm and I love to see it.

3. I relate to her. Wanting to be liked is so real of her. She’s a yapper around the people shes closer to. Also shes lowkey awkward and so am I.

4. The concept of her arc is so interesting to me. I personally love the fact that she doesn’t immediately get over the hate comments. She shouldn’t be expected to.

5. Her relationship with her grandpa. I love that he’s the reason she got so into gaming. She carries on his legacy. We never really see him but we do see how much she loves him and I think this was actually handled well in canon.

6. In season 2 she was really normal. Honestly, i love that. Not every character has to have some insane story immediately. She’s just having a good time and making friends. Her being “boring” (though I don’t really think she is) is honestly what makes her stand out to me.

7. We have the same favorite animal (bunnies)

8. Her interactions with Riya. I wish we got a clearer ending to their sort of friendship because I think it would’ve done a lot for both of them. They both cared about each other and nobody can convince me otherwise. Riya was the only person Ally had on her side for the majority of the merge after all. Riya did try and stop Ally from going down the same path as her, too.

9. She is so quoteable. “Thank you I’m going there” “Stop there, Lone Ranger” “Gang gang” “You can have your yaoi moment later” “what more do these people want? A falcon punch?” “Awh, samesies” “At least the NPC shuts up when you mute your console” SHES MY ICON

10. Her friendship with Tess (Huntessally should’ve been canon though). The way they went from getting along for Hunter to becoming best friends.. agh I love them. Tess checking on Ally >>>

11. This reason is lowkey dumb but the fact that she made a snowboard instead of a sled is so funny to me.

12. There is so much I wanna know about her. I want more information on what her relationship with her mom is like. I wanna know about her time between season 2 and All-Stars (specifically how she first reacted to the influx of hate comments. She literally said that she scrolled through nonstop hate comments for months). I wanna know about how things were for her before season 2. I want to see more of her friendship with Jake.

13. Her being more strategic in All-Stars. Loved seeing her try and work with Fiore and also eliminate Grett.

14. Her speech in ep 20. SHE IS SO RIGHT. HER PROBLEMS MATTER. I TWEAK EVERY TIME SOMEONE SAYS THAT THEY DON’T. HER FEELINGS ABOUT THE HATE COMMENTS ARE VALID.

15. Her ep 18 convo with Connor.

Even the Disventure Camp wiki points out how bad Ally’s elimination was 😭😭😭 (Personally, I’m fine with her ending up in 3rd I just don’t like how her elimination happened. Though, I do think a Riya vs Ally finale could’ve been fun to watch.)
