“Today’s lesson is on charity,” Father William, a plump but cheery old man grinned. “You know, I find it absolutely amazing that almost all major religions on Earth mention giving to charity. In Judaism, they call it ‘tzedakah’. In Hinduism and Buddhism, they call it ‘dāna’, and in Islam, they call it ‘sadaqah’. So, do you know what this means, my children?”
“Everyone can agree that charity is good?”
“Not quite… Giving to charity is not necessarily a Catholic trait. You shouldn’t just be flaunting around how good a Catholic you are because you give to charity; anybody can do that. You should only give to charity out of the kindness of your heart, for that is truly what our Heavenly Father wants from His followers.
Everyone nodded and murmured in agreement, clapping warmly. Father William smiled, then bowed to his audience.
Meanwhile, Benedict growled in the very back of the room with his arms folded.
"Shush!" was the only response Metatron gave to Benedict turning halfway to glower at him before turning back around.
