Have you ever almost Drowned Like for a split second You forgot how to swim And you bob Up and down in the water
You flail your arms As you find the air Failing your lungs You swallow water Tasting the chlorine
You keep seeing The blinding light above But then down you Go back into the dark
That feeling Never dies The fear of choice Like picking which side You want to be on
Light or Dark Yet you grasp something And your forced to Choose light
Because your body Forces you to swim When you want to sink You wanted to be surrounded By dark
Yet every gasp of Air you take Ever gasp you loose Is like a song Nobody else can hear
As water fills your lungs And flows up ur nose As you cough and hack The water out of you as it burns
The pain is there Pulling at your skin The smell is overpowering And the tears are falling
Yet everyone around you Seems blind By the fact you almost died That you were battling A current
Nobody else could fight Then you realize That life is just like Drowing
Sometimes your left With the memory Of swimming in the Dangerous currents
Still being able to touch The light and continue living Other times
You fade into the dark And your lungs stop working Your eyes close And you’re surrounded By darkness
Helpless, like almost Drowing Because nobody can See it happening Until its too late.
