“How are they doing?” Alona asked as she peaked over Theldry’s shoulder at the twins. Helaena’s birthing had been rough but now that mother was resting comfortably she wanted to check in on the twins and see how Theldry was doing with the new additions. Ocean colored eyes took in the sight before her and it made her smile, they looked perfect, healthy and squirming, she expected nothing less. “These are the first royal children since Joffrey and Daeron right?” That seemed so long ago now, it was hard to believe how quickly the children grew.   Setting the basket down on the table, she assumed Theldry had been too busy to eat yet, so she took it upon herself to bring a meal for the other woman.

“You’re Grace-- I am Lady Alona of house Velaryon, I was sent here by my family to serve you as one of your ladies” Alona curtsied as she introduced herself, the silvery haired beauty looked up at the Queen with lavender eyes as she straightened up. Tales of her beauty and her dragons had not been exudated, she was the most beautiful woman she had ever seen. Her smile remained warm as she was very excited to both meet her and to be at Dragonstone, a place her ancestors use to walk.

“So this one has how many legs?” Alona asked from her seat on the floor, looking over the princess’s collection with her, the silver haired beauty genuinely interested in what she was saying. While she had no love of bugs herself, hearing Helaena explain them to her and how excited she got made her fear them a little less. She was the daughter of a minor lord, brought to Kings Landing to be a lady in waiting for the other blonde, she suspected the King wished her to have a friend and knew of Alona’s soft temperament, but she didn’t worry too much about that, she quite liked sitting and talking to the other woman. “Do you think there are any who might survive the coming winter?”

Alona had been a lady of the court since Uther’s time, she had seen the tragedy he brought on and the honor his son restored. She thanked whatever Gods were listening that Arthur was nothing like his father, as she would imagine most did. For a time the blonde had left, returning home to see her parents and find some peace and safety, only returning once the new king was crowned. That day had been some weeks ago now and this day found her walking alone in the gardens. She hummed an old lullaby as she walked, one of a Druid nature, one of her father’s people. Pausing she ran her fingers lightly along the flowers, nodding a greeting to a familiar face. “You’re looking well, I was happy to hear you were reinstated as a knight-- the court did not take your banishment well.” The blonde smiled as she straightened up, properly taking in the knight before her.

“I’ve heard chatter from the wind nymphs, Ares-- what’s going on and how worried do we need to be.” Alona entered his office without knocking, dressed in a traditional toga that said she had just been with the other nature spirets.

“How was your ride, my lady” Alona greeted with a warm smile, waiting with her change of clothes to help her get dressed for supper. The blonde was a noble lady and had been sent to act as a lady in waiting for Lady Rhea, a job she greatly enjoyed thus far, more so now that he former husband had vanished from Runestone. There was always more peace when he was away and now he had no reason to return.

“I’m glad so many made it back this year” Alona smiled as she joined Eskel at one of the long tables, more returned than they thought would though she had mostly been waiting for him. She resided there as a healer for the Witchers, most of the year she would travel, helping villages who desperately needed a healer but she always made sure when the Witchers returned so did she. “I missed you” she admitted, sliding him a bowl of stew and rice, she had made a large cauldron full knowing the men would be hungry.

“I didn’t expect to see you at a ball, Ser Strong-- you look rather handsome this evening” Alona greeted the man with a bow of her head out of respect, they were both from minor houses and as such often ended up seated next to one another for feasts and parties, she was rather found of him and his siblings. Even still, the silver haired beauty offered a soft smile one she was known for and offered him her hand “join me for a dance?”
