After finishing her homeschool studies for the day, Alora decided to listen to a photography podcast while she worked on her latest art piece.
Alora with little Leo. ♥ (They’re just so cute together. Leo was staring at his dad. So then, I followed Dagger to the scratching post.)
Jasmine and Alora got ready for bed in their new bathroom. They were happy to have each other’s company right before bed. ♥
When a car had pulled up into the driveway that night, Alora knew exactly who it was. Mostly, because she overheard her mom and dad on the phone. Mai Black, Songaa’s mom, had arrived. Alora was the first to greet her with hugs smiles. (The kids didn’t know it at the time, but Mama Black would be living with them indefinitely.)
When Alora made it home, the kitties ran to her. Dagger did some weird cat flip thing, and then Lily looked like she was trying to imitate her dad. Like cat-father, like cat-daughter, I guess. (I really wasn’t kidding when I said that ALL of the kitties love her the most. That’s why she gets to keep Leo when she moves away.) ♥
Adam and Alora were stuck on baby duty, when the family first arrived. As much as they were bored out of their minds, they knew that their parents needed the help.
With the arrival of the new twins, Henley was struggling to adjust to getting just a little less attention from her parents. Alora took it upon herself to tend to her baby sis. It started out so well. Henley had me thinking that she wouldn’t give Alora any problems or meltdowns. I was wrong! Just after being cuddled, she screamed her little lungs out again.
While everyone else was sleeping at 2AM, Alora was down in the kitchen enjoying a black bean taco. Being able to stay up late and do whatever she wanted, aside from getting her schoolwork done for the day, was gonna be nice.
