Iridescent glass nailz

Oh man. I loved making these. Two coats of translucent white. Iridescent powder. Matte top coat. Then designs in clear top coat.

I made them in the full length of the press ons and put them on, then filed them wayyy down (after taking some pics of course). Idk how people can live with nails that long! I wish I could.

Abalone mosaic nails

These took me SO long to make. Each nail has hand-placed shell pieces in a single layer, mosaic style. I topped these with thick builder top coat so they would be as smooth as possible.

I liked how the nude gel looks against the shell pieces. Next time I want to try the shells on white nails.

These nails kept popping off! I think it’s because they were so thick and had no give. In fact, I lost the middle left hand nail and replaced with an Opi press on that matches the teal of the shell pieces.

Iridescent Jelly Nails

I recently decided to reward myself for working really hard at work with some new materials for my nail art :) got some iridescent bubble beads and clear and white builder gel - super thick, has the consistency of hot glue.

I made a bunch of practice nails to get these where I wanted them. It was so fun molding them and working with the new builder gels. I have SO MANY ideas.

These nails are so thick and chunky. They are a lot. But I really like them.

Also got new clear press ons in a short coffin shape, with the intention of rounding the corners to create an oval/almond nail shape. These ones are a little too almond, next time I’ll make them more oval.

I really need to remember that the jelly paint looks so good as the last color coat. It just evens out the nail shape/texture so well.

Tortoiseshell and gold flake ✨

I LOVED wearing these nails. I’m not usually the biggest fan of wearing darker nails but these were great. I def want to make some more soon!

Shell Accent

Continuing my streak of white nails, I made a pretty normal set with one accent nail on each hand, covered in a mosaic of tiny shell bits I purchased at Daiso.

I used a semi translucent white paint and used a lot of it to shape the nails so they were more smooth on top. I am working on improving the apex (vertical shape) of my press on nails.
