The Opportunity
It presents itself at any time
And my anxiety appearing like a crime
Preparing for the shame
All being put on my family name
Every thought of being successful
But in the end it just becomes stressful
Making a name for myself and being positive
My parents only objective
Only wish needed to secure their happiness
Though troubling through distress
Held on to faith and hope
Prayed to God and worked to cope
In the end, tis happiness
We long for, with all the pain
The work will all be worth
More than that of gold.
This poem shows how we probably think. Taking every opportunity and making the most of what is to be had. The past will not make the future but the actions of the present.
