Shango stayed still for a few moments because Heimdall was screaming at him to keep his stance until he felt Oya respond. Thankfully, neither beast nor man had to wait very long because Y/N finally relinquished complete conscience control to her beast. Once they felt the constant tug and release of her snatch, Shango pulled out so that just the head of his dick was seated within her and then he plunged himself back into her down to the hilt. He repeated this action over and over, slow and steady, listening to the change in pitch of his omega’s keens into the cool dusk air. It wasn’t until he felt her body tense and cave into him that Shango flipped Oya and forced her form into presenting.
Oya was trying to come back into her mind and recover from her first orgasm with her alpha when he flipped her over. She barely had a chance to remember to breathe when Shango bottomed out in one stroke, foreshadowing the lack of restraint that he’d be using from here on out. Sure enough, her alpha got one look at her in their natural mating form and one feel of her pussy gripping him and lost any control he had. Full animal instincts took over and the only thoughts in mind were, ‘Mark her, make her ours, mate mate MATE!’
Tried as he might, Heimdall was completely silenced the moment that Oya came around them and clenched like her pussy was trying to merge his soul with hers. He wondered what she’d look like coming apart the same way in her human form and if Y/N would grip his dick with the same metaphysical pressure. The next moment he was watching as Shango made Oya fall apart on them back to back until his knot locked into place, he locked his jaws around Oya’s neck, and released waves of their seed into her womb, essentially marrying the pair by ancient shifter law. He had been licking her neck to help speed up the healing process, pulling her closer to his form for more warmth, and letting the now soothing vibrations of his rumbling purr spread throughout her limbs when Heimdall regained the reins of their mind.
They both shifted about 2 minutes into Shango showing care to Oya, Y/N taking slightly longer than Heimdall to become fully aware and cognizant enough to regain control, even with Heimdall guiding her through the shift. She almost hurt herself, thinking his knot would’ve gone away in the change but thankfully Heimdall kept a firm grasp of her body resting against his. The swift movement made them both very aware of how full she was and how much they both were still ready to go. Heimdall tried to shift them so that she’d be laying against him more comfortably, leaning his back against a tree to support their upright position, but that just made things worse. She immediately grasped his forearms, thrust her head and neck back into a position of submission, and started making these little whimpering keens that mirrored the sounds that Oya had made. The way she offered up the view of her healing mate mark to be reaffirmed in this form triggered his movements.
Heimdall started a slow sensual whine as he kissed Y/N’s mate mark over and over. He could feel his knot subsiding and was trying to ease her through the transition from animal to human mating. She was doing so well and it was making it hard for him to continue to exert any type of discipline or control over his actions. It was hell but he managed to hold Shango back, inherently knowing that his mate needed this time in their first skin together, and kept his slow and steady pace. The results were her squirting, coating his thighs in a new essence. It was just the lubricant he needed to get his knot to slide out with a pop. As soon as he was sure she wouldn’t be hurt, Heimdall lifted Y/N completely off of his still swollen dick, and flipped her around to instantly sink back down around him.
When he was satisfied that she was positioned exactly how he needed her, Heimdall cradled her head and laid on the soft meadow floor, his other hand keeping her flush against him by her asscheek. The new stance gave Heimdall the leverage he needed to make his earlier wish a reality and did not waste one moment, immediately returning her recently reappeared irises to the back of her head. Heimdall was sure to worship her body and soul with the right amount of pressure, speed, and kisses, easily pulling climax after climax from the woman. By the time Heimdall joined her and finally came, filling his mate and reaffirming their biology, Y/N’s keens reached a new pitch that was an immediate trigger for something Heimdall hadn’t anticipated, an even deeper connection to his abilities, manifesting in flashes of alternative lives they loved one another in just as deeply. The allfathers were generous in their many examples, making it clear as Heimdall looked to the blissed out face of his mate, that her pleasure and protection is his mission in every life.
This was why their connection was so important, though he didn’t completely understand why yet, but he inherently knew these intense visions of love as old as time were the key to their union. As he laid back, bringing Y/N’s limp form with him, keeping himself and every drop of his seed buried, Heimdall thought about just how magnificent this life was. Here he had thought, his entire purpose and meaning for living lie in the destroyed throne. Now holding his most private prayers close, heart to heart, locked together by their sacred sexes, there was this feeling, this inherent knowing, that told him this was the most important purpose he’ll ever procure and protect.
Heimdall only let himself relish in the moment for a short while before he got up to take them both back to the house. It was late enough that everyone should’ve been sleep and once they got within range of the house, he was able to confirm it with his senses. As quiet as he could, he slipped through the back door and up the stairs, straight to the bathroom, keeping Y/n secured to him with one arm underneath her bottom. Once the bath was to his liking he struggled to get the both of them into the tub but was successful and as he predicted, his omega awoke with a startle, but the feel of him still beneath her face and body soothed her senses back down. Heimdall hummed his childhood lullaby that seemed to now be a permanent fixture in their interactions as he washed her best he could.
After rinsing them with a shower, drying, and moisturizing the pair, he scooped his omega back up into his arms and got them to her room. Heimdall positioned them the same as the night before and earlier in the day, with her straddling him, dick buried to the hilt. She tried to move and start another round but he could feel how exhausted she was. His omega needed sleep more than sex. She pouted, but he ignored her, kissing the furrow between her brows and pushing her head to lay on his pecs. He let his rumbling purr hijack her senses and just as he wanted, Y/N knocked out swiftly, fully mated and matured.

Heimdall let Y/N cry until she couldn’t anymore, tuckering herself right into a deep sleep that was most likely amplified by her heat. He could smell her ripening, fighting against the intoxication that was threatening to take control of his senses. The only thing keeping his mind clear was the promise he’d made to himself and Y/N. He was determined to allow her the time she needed to truly integrate her primal half before he allowed biology to turn him into someone that had no control of themselves or their primal, leading with their base needs first and logic after the damage of doing so had already been done. Once he was able to get himself back to a place where he didn’t feel like his beast would take over at a moments notice, he enjoyed the opportunity to watch Y/N relax in his arms. The little noises she made in her sleep were both adorable and enticing, the micro expressions flitting across her face only amplifying the impact of her noises.
Heimdall felt his beast pushing at his mind, knowing that its time to be freed was near with the threat of Y/N’s first shift on the horizon. Tonight would be the first time in over a millenia that Heimdall would release his beast, having kept it mentally caged during his commitment to the throne. So for all intents and purposes, they were both experiencing their first shifts together. He had the realization that it was also going to be his first shift on new soil, having been tied to Asgard since he became a man all that time ago. The last time he’d been in a land that wasn’t Asgard for anything other than Asgardian business was when he was a boy, sitting at the feet of his mothers’ on his home planet. Once he became of age, he was sent away and hasn’t been back since, much like the Amazonians of the Earth legends.
He fell asleep dreaming of being able to visit his motherland for guidance on how to move forward and swore that he actually was there. Knowing how powerful the gifts of his blood were a lot deeper than he’d ever taken the time to uncover, Heimdall hoped that the vision was real and his gifts were expanding. If that were the case then it would mean he was getting stronger and could better protect his omega, his Y/N. He wouldn’t be surprised if this was the one loophole he never thought of before to be able to see the mothers that raised him. The smell was familiar and the hum of noise in the temple his first mother was high priestess of comforted him. She was waiting at her altar like she always did when expecting him to visit. Though it would’ve been a nice change to get some affection, it did not surprise him that she didn’t move from her spot as he spoke.
“Hello my child. You’ve found your fated mate and got more than you bargained for as usual.”
“Hello first mother. I would love to say I’m surprised by your perception but I got my gifts honestly.”
“Indeed you did. Ask your question.”
“How do I know I’m capable of protecting one of the most precious souls of this universe?”
“You’ve already heard the answer, have you not?”
Heimdall’s face screwed up as he thought on her words.
“I did?”
“The young woman’s mother left a letter. Remember what was said,” she said as she turned to face him with her familiar soft smile. “Trust that the creator knows what you need in your counterparts best and that you yourselves are ready and capable of accomplishing what is ahead of you.”
“Those words are for me as well?”
“But of course my child. You know that source would not trust you with her if you were not prepared to safeguard all of our futures as you have countless times over the many millenia. The fact you’re visiting is all the evidence you need that you’re becoming further equipped to defeat any adversaries to come. Now go, ensure her becoming is seamless.”
Heimdall suddenly woke up with the very peace he’d been praying the allfathers would grant him. Although grateful to have found his mate, there was an anxious feeling that sat in his chest the last few days. It was unfamiliar and uncomfortable. It was one thing to protect royalty, a whole nother to protect the keeper of his and his primal’s heart who also had an important destiny that held the fate of the universe in its hands. As he looked back down at Y/N, he knew first mother’s words were true. All had happened as it must and the entire universe was supporting them as they moved forward on her journey to safeguard the future of the universe. The allfathers affording him the access to his astral projection gifts and keeping his visions limited when it came to her was all the proof he needed of that. They were being divinely guided and protected.
The first thing that Y/N felt as she came to was a deep ache. It was everywhere and all encompassing, an insistent throb demanding to be recognized - in her teeth, her scalp, her joints, her eyes and ears, everywhere. The second thing she felt was her primal beating against the confines of her psyche in a way she had yet to experience before. Y/N had become very familiar with the many moods and patterns of it demanding her attention over the last year and this was something new and entirely different. Never had it been this loud, this demanding. She groaned at the same moment Heimdall recognized what was happening and carried her out of the house.
When they got outside, Heimdall walked as far away from the house as possible and into the nearby forest. He knew the first thing that both of their beasts would want is the freedom and space of nature to sprint through. It also would help to keep them as far from Y/N’s family and the rest of the group in the event that the aggressiveness of their beasts were untamable for a little while. He’d seen firsthand the devastation one experienced when they lost control of their beast and did something that could not be taken back like leaving a scar or worse, taking a life that you hold dear in human form. There was no way that Heimdall was taking a chance on either of them losing control and now that this moment had arrived, the true work to protect his omega was just beginning.
By the time he made it deep into the treeline, Y/N had already started her transformation past aches and pains. Heimdall could both feel and hear the sounds of her bones and ligaments breaking, shifting, and changing to accommodate her beast coming forth. He did his best to be gentle as he removed her clothes before she was too deep in her transformation to be able to. The last thing she would want when she returned to her human form was to potentially traumatize her nephews with her nakedness. After laying her on a patch of a field clearing he folded up her clothes and took his own off to join hers so that he could shift as well.
Despite many lifetimes worth of time going by since his last shift, Heimdall eased into his change a lot easier than expected. Though he’d obviously started after her, he was completely in the form of his beast, a version of a cross between a panther and a wolf from his home world whose name could not be translated into any human language. Though several times the combined weight and height of an earthly version, closer to the size of a black bear than either animal, his beast’s attributes held characteristics from both.
Heimdall was pleasantly surprised to see that Y/N’s beast was a panther, larger than the average Earth size, and considering her ancestral heritage that actually made sense. He internally breathed a sigh of relief as that had been one of the accompanying reasons he was choosing abstinence as their current path. Knowing the comparison of his physiology to the average human man made him anxious that his beast would be just as looming over his omega. The last thing he wanted to do was accidentally hurt Y/N simply because their anatomies were vastly different, but both what her beast was and its size eased at least that part of his fears.
When Y/N finally came back from the void the pain in her body had thrust her into, Heimdall’s primal was towering over her, sniffing at her scent gland and purring to provide some comfort as the last of the change settled.
“No fair,” she thought, “I started before him and he’s already changed all the way.”
To her surprise a voice answered that she assumed was Heimdall, “Of course omega, I am older and more experienced in the shift no matter how much time has passed since the last time I did so.”
“I can hear you in my head.”
“Of course.”
She stood, her omega sighing in content at finally being free. Looking at the world through these animal eyes was a life altering experience. She doubted she’d ever look at or experience the world the same again. The smells were more distinct, the sounds crisper, even the feel of the air felt more prominent like she now knew it as a living breathing entity rather than the tasteless, siteless thing she’d thought of when acknowledging its existence her whole life. Her paws stretched out, her claws releasing and retracting as the pads took in the sensations of the ground beneath her feet and suddenly she was stricken with an overwhelming urge to run. Y/N looked up at Heimdall who had been silently observing her, smirked the best she could, and then suddenly took off running.

Since Heimdall was accustomed to short naps and long stations at the bifrost, he didn’t sleep for very long. Rousing well over an hour before the birds awoke with their morning song. He took the time he had to really look at his omega in all of her glory. He peered into flashes of her past that the allfathers allowed him to view and spent the rest of his time cataloging her every perfect imperfection highlighted in the moonlight that made up the most perfect being he’d ever laid eyes on. By the time her eyes started to flutter he was purring at the glimpse he had of growing old with her. It seemed this was one occurrence the allfathers wanted him to experience rather than predict the journey of, but he was grateful for the mere glimpse they did grant him.
Y/N started stirring when she felt a vibration rippling through her body. Not wanting to endure any of the pain that awaited her in the wakeful hours of her unmarked heat she did her best to stay buried in her dreams. These last few cycles had forced her to find solace in her sleep, the pain just bad enough for her body to render her unconscious for as long as possible, into a hibernation of sorts just to be able to survive it. It took a while for her to fully come to, having had the most beautiful dream of having her alpha come scoop her in his arms as she had begun to succumb to the worst of what a heat can become. Imagine her surprise when the eyes she had dreamed of were the ones to greet her.
“Why do you look so confused little omega?
“You’re real.”
“Indeed I am. I could say the same of you.”
Y/N broke his intense gaze suddenly awash with a rapid fire of emotions.
“This was not how I dreamed to meet you, but I, lady Y/N of midgard, am Heimdall of Asgard, former warrior of the land and the throne that protected it. With you now in my arms and my home no more, my eternal pledge is to you as your one and only Alpha for all time. Do you accept my pledge love?”
“I-,” Y/N stuttered, shaken to her core by the conviction in his voice.
“How about it little one?” Heimdall asked, palming her face in his hand as she nuzzled it, his voice gruff with his alpha’s rumble. “We’ve waited so so long, be ours, please.” He couldn’t help but softly stroke her face, savoring the softness he’d gone so long without.
With a gulp she said, “I accept Alpha Heimdall.”
He shared a small smile as she semi-nervously giggled at him sliding her body up by palming her ass to be face-to-face without either of them having to reach. Heimdall breathed against her lips, teasing her, testing her, and watching how she and her omega responded to him and his alpha.
Y/N became increasingly frustrated as he played with them. She felt like a whiny kitten, experiencing their first heat, desperate for affection and attention, and too impatient to wait any longer. Her omega was practically clawing at the fringes of her mind to escape her mental cage, Y/N felt like her omega was going to tear her apart from the inside out. It took everything in her to quell her wiggling and whimpering, though she couldn’t all the way. Her omega was upset she wasn’t moving more and Y/N was mad she couldn’t stop all the way.
Heimdall leaned all the way back from her face, a knowing smirk gracing his lips. “What’s got you so nervous little one?”
Y/N chuckled nervously again, unsuccessfully trying to squirm off of Heimdall’s chest and out of the palms of his hands that had a firm grasp on where her thighs met her ass, occasionally coming up to palm her cheeks, both sets. How could someone so noticeably chiseled and toned feel like he could be twice her size if not more? He was huge!
“I have the unfortunate pleasure of not having much access to your mind my love, please tell me what thoughts plague you?”
His voice was light with amusement and still held the authoritative tone that was his baseline, the perfect balance of unyielding playfulness. He was not necessarily asking her, but he gave her just enough leeway to imagine he was.
“I just feel a little uncomfortable being on top of you, especially for such a long time.” Y/N said as she ducked her head timidly.
Heimdall raised an eyebrow assessing every emotion he could gain from this vulnerable moment.
“Is that so? I would say that is an unfounded emotion seeing as how I watched over your peaceful slumber for the entirety of the evening.”
His face held his piercing gaze as an uncomfortable silence formed in the space of her trying to find her words.
“Well- I- Aren’t you uncomfortable with my weight literally on you? Dead weight most of the night at that!” Y/N’s voice increasingly rose as her anxiety did.
“I am quite comfortable omega, I weigh at least twice your heaviest midgardian man and have many a foot over most. You are but a feathered pillow for me to carry around so I may rest comfortably through the rest of the days the allfathers choose to grant me.”
Y/N looked shocked, which she had to cover quickly at his next sentence, as well as the change of his eyes and voice. His beast was bleeding into them both and she did not want to provoke the danger lurking there any more than she already had.
With a lasered focus and menacing tone, daring her to answer incorrectly, Heimdall asked, “You wouldn’t be trying to insinuate that I am incapable of carrying and caring for my omega?”
Y/N fervently shook her head no, too afraid to provoke the beast that was clearly making himself known.
If she thought his demeanor couldn’t get more intense, she learned differently. “Nor would you be insinuating MY omega is undesirable because of faulty midgardian standards?”
Y/N gulped, struggling yet again to form words. Heimdall flipped them over easily, gingerly slotting himself between her soft thighs, forearms creating a cage on either side of her head, careful not to crush her. All she could do was keep her hands flat on his chest and look up at him.
He bit her earlobe and whispered into her ear, “are you?”
She let out a little squeak at his nips and shook her head no, diverting her eyes.
It would seem his little omega was demure all of a sudden. That just wouldn’t do. “Speak up little one.”
“No, Alpha, I’m not saying either of those things. I was just- I just…wanted to make sure you were comfortable.” Y/N stuttered out. “That’s all,” she trailed off, looking away bashfully.
“See?” he said, flipping them back over so that she was again laying on top of him.
“That wasn’t so hard to get out, now was it?”
She shook her head, as it seemed to now be her default answer, scared her mouth could only produce awkward unfinished attempts at coherent sentences and squeaks of stunned silence.
Heimdall leaned in to suck her bottom lip into his mouth, releasing it with a quick bite that left her wide eyed and sopping wet.
With the swift change of her pheremones, he leaned into the crook of her neck, taking a deep inhale of every scent she exuded.
“My little queen.” Inhale. “My hidden omega,” Inhale. “You smell of all the wonders of nature.” Inhale. “Most notably at this present moment,” inhale, “a thousand erupting volcanos in the depths of every ocean across the realms.” Inhale. “A most addictive scent of your heat.” Inhale. “Had I been one of these little pups running amock on your midguardian lands, surely my beast would have no choice but to get out of hand. Thank the allfathers for the fortified discipline that only comes with surviving the tests of time.”
“Lucky me?” Y/N said looking into Heimdall’s eyes with nothing but questions.
“No milady, lucky me,” Heimdall responded with a soft growl and starved look in his eyes. “I will enjoy the deepest depths of you before I allow my animalistic desires to cloud my ability to enjoy those moments in their entirety. By the time I do allow my beast the pleasure he so desperately wants, I will have already learned you down to your core.”
He gave her a quick peck and sat up in the bed, bringing her to sit on his lap facing him with her thighs caging his legs.
“That is a conversation for later though and I know you have many a question little one. Ask.”
“I don’t think I can process any of them right now, let alone ask,” Y/N stuttered, looking down at her twiddling thumbs, struggling to focus on the million and one thoughts surrounding the fact that her alpha was unlike any other and thus their love would reflect that. He seemed to be everything she’d hoped, wished, and prayed for, but it was difficult to grasp that he was her reality now.
Taking a lone finger to lift her eyes to his. “That is alright omega, we have the rest of eternity for you to learn all the answers you seek. For now, let us seek out some breakfast. It is especially imperative that today, you maintain your strength, if we are to discover the nature of your beast this coming eve.”
“Discover my- How did you know I haven’t had my first shift yet?”
Heimdall gripped her by the ass and pulled her impossibly closer into him, resting a hand on her back and leaving the other on her bottom. With a growl, he said, “You are mine.”
Y/N gulped.
“Although we have yet to become one, you are part of my beast and I. You are the reason we have been awoken from the slumber of selfless servitude.”
He grasped her face in his hands searching for the depths of her soul through her windows. “Your path is forever converged with mine. I know you as I know myself. Though I still have much to learn about us both in this physical realm, there are many things that will always be inherently clear to me.”
“I-” Y/N squeaked out, yet again breathless at the depth of his conviction towards their fresh union, though unconsecrated.
“One of the things the allfathers allowed me to see as I have wandered this last midguardian year, was the night of your full awakening,” he kissed her passionately, struggling to hold back the greediness with which his beast longed to devour her, “and that is today so we must prepare. Okay?”
“Mmhmm.” Y/N nodded along.
—————--
By the time the couple made their way down the steps, Thor and Samuel were in the yard with his nephews while Sarah was showing Natasha her process for frying chicken in the kitchen. Heimdall had hated to take his shirt back from Y/N, but since he hadn’t thought to bring extra clothes he had no choice in the matter. He did still make her take his jacket, wanting her to be drenched in his scent regardless of whether or not they had consummated their bond. She had to beg him still to wear at least a dress since trying to put on a hoodie and shorts did not go over well with him nor his beast.
Sarah popped out a pan of bacon from the oven when Heimdall sat down at the table, pulling Y/N into his lap, legs dangling from the side. She and Natasha greeted the couple, but only Y/N had answered. He was so caught up in her that he was almost too rude to respond when the women started talking to them. After an awkward beat he finally said his good mornings but was right back to appreciating the feel and smell of having Y/N in his arms. Remembering how her own Alpha behaved after their first meeting made Sarah understanding of his behavior. She was surprised he’d let Nora leave her room at all, let alone was aware enough to acknowledge anyone else in the room.
Y/N was just as surprised as Sarah at Heimdall’s willingness to have her around anybody, let alone the other alphas currently in and around the house. She has a sneaking suspicion that her outfit paired with the seat she was on were the only things keeping the alpha calm and appeasing. Growing up, she’d always been warned about an alpha’s behaviour when it came to his omega and then when Sarah mated she’d seen it firsthand. Despite expecting much of the same treatment she’d prepared herself for, he did tell her that he was from another planet and by proxy of his admittance to serving some throne, his age. Those two truths alone made her think she should start expecting the unexpected. When she got a chance, they were going to have to have a real conversation about that. She knew it wasn’t going to make her break their bond but at the very least, she was going to use what he told her to navigate her way through this relationship differently, hopefully better. This alpha was like no other and that also meant any preparations she’d thought to take were of no use.
Having little experiences with romantic partnerships in general, let alone with someone from another planet, Y/N was nervous. Most humans only played games when it came to love, whether they knew their partner was their soulmate or not, but she’d ended up with a humanoid man that showed no indication that games would be tolerated in his presence. In fact, due to his age, she wouldn’t be surprised to find out that his people had come long before the Earthly ones, possibly even being the fathers and mothers of their little planet. Nor would she be surprised to find out that her hypotheses made from her observations of him were indeed facts. Heimdall hadn’t given any impression that he was here to just knot her and run, he gave the impression that if she somehow became immortal as well, they would be spending eternity together and if not, his life would end with hers. Hell, he’d already lived an eternity without her, that was a daunting history to try and create a future with as it was.
By the time Sarah and Natasha finished making the main course of breakfast, Y/N had tucked herself deep into Heimdall’s side, having long since trailed off from responding to the conversations the women tried to make with her. While Natasha cut up some fresh fruits and Sarah went outside to gather her sons, brother, and Thor, she had her face hidden underneath Heimdall’s hair that was acting like a veil, cocooning her in the bubble of his presence. As she played with his longest locs, savoring the peaceful moment of contentment, Sarah came back into the house with the boys filing in behind her. By the time Y/N looked up again she was surprised to see that Natasha had already set the table and everyone was seated and eating. Not really caring too much she quickly found herself back in her Heimdal bubble.
While his omega was enjoying being in his embrace, Heimdall piled a plate with one hand, refusing to let go of Y/N with the other, his arm snaked around her back to keep his hand firmly on her thigh. The two remained in their little bubble, Heimdall feeding Y/N as the table around them ate and talked with each other. The only ones paying less attention to the what was happening at the table was Thor and Sam. They were the most intrigued by the couple, taking in what was a jolting scene for anyone that knew either of them. In all the many millennia Thor had grown up in the presence of the mighty warrior, he’d never had an opportunity to see Heimdall so love-struck and the same could be said for Sam. He had never seen Y/N be so willingly vulnerable and soft, always choosing to put up a tough girl front than be seen as a damsel. Sarah had to snap her fingers in front of the Alpha pair to get them to keep their eyes to themselves.
“Stop staring,” she whisper-yelled, “it’s rude!”
“I can’t help it, I’ve never seen her so, so, so-” Sam started.
“-so soft?” Thor finished for him. “Me neither, Heimdal has been the pillar of unyielding strength in Asgard since long before I was born!”
Sarah popped both man and god upside the back of their heads.
“Ow!” They exclaimed in unison, rubbing at the sore spots.
“I don’t care how much of a surprise their behavior is. You both are going to act like adult alphas who can control your impulses and stop staring!”
“It is quite alright Lady Sarah,” Heimdall said after feeding Y/N some cut up strawberry and looking up at Sarah and the alphas, “they have a right to their surprise, there will be many more to come by my calculations so it’s best they get it out as each one happens rather than overloading them all at once.”
All of the adults looked at Heimdall like he’d grown a few more heads just as Cass and AJ finished their breakfast and asked to be excused.
“Yeah babies, go outside and play while the adults talk.” Sarah said.
As soon as the resounding thump of the door followed by the screaming laughter of the boys rung in the ears of every adult, Sam was ready to get the details of whatever Heimdall was talking about.
“So, what did you mean by there will be many more?” he asked, staring down the warrior god.
Despite hearing the conversation going on, Y/N couldn’t focus on the words. She had made her way from Heimdall’s neck to the top of his chest which allowed her the ultimate experience of hearing him. Feeling the vibrations of each word was far more soothing than listening in to the actual words and since she was still mid heat with a promise of not being knotted anytime soon, she needed all of the remedying sensations she could get from him.
Feeling the restless energy that was trying to grip his omega, Heimdall started rubbing her back while he spoke. He didn’t start to answer until he could feel her relax in his arms. “The all fathers are refusing to show me clear pictures of what is to come, but from what I gathered there is a lot more surprises as to Y/N’s lineage and destiny.”
“Well why can’t you tell us everything at once?” Sam asked.
“Because the allfathers won’t even show it all to me.” Heimdall answered.
“That’s new.” Thor said.
“Only to you. Before you were born there was another and from my experience it is a great sign of protection from the allfathers. We should trust that everything is working itself out for the best possible outcome.”
“I already trust you with our sister, why not this?” Sarah said as she elbowed Sam, “right Sam?”
Sam was eyeing the asgardian, but conceded to his sister’s unsubtle cue, “I guess, but just cause I trust that you are her true mate doesn’t mean I’m taking my eyes off of you for one second. God or not.”
“I would expect no less Sir Falcon,” Heimdall closed his eyes, inhaled her scent deeply, and gripped Y/N impossibly closer as he said, “she is the most precious of gems created from the purest atoms of this universe.” When he opened his eyes to look into Sam’s, his eyes were glowing their vibrant gold, almost as blinding as the sun, “It will take only the purest forms of love and respect for her life to keep it safe from the very evil’s that wish to steal it.”
Summary: A hidden Omega, even to herself, is revealed at the arrival of the Asgardians; unsure of how to navigate through this drastic change, she stumbles her way into the arms of the Alpha that lit her soul ablaze. Heimdall finds that upon touching the soil of Midgard, the Alpha he long thought was buried and mummified within, takes the reigns; unable to fight the gathered strength of his beast that has forcefully slept for well over a millennium, Heimdall will now know what it’s like to be at the mercy of his Alpha, and his Alpha will learn what it’s to be like at the mercy of an omega, his omega.
A/N: The Asgardians from the ship that were killed after Ragnorok wasn’t murdered and made it to safety on Earth with Heimdall and Thor aboard. I’m not going to follow the plot from Marvel other than to maintain my own.
A/N: Y/N is Sam and Sarah’s first cousin, but there is about a 10-15 year age gap.
Heimdall was thoroughly enjoying a first-hand view of the Upstate New York Stark facility Thor was splitting his time between with New Asgard. Although the sight allowed him to see every possible future as their conceivability changed with every choice being made helping him locate Thor many times when he was here, it could not give him this. The wonder, the newness, the fragile probability that it could all come crumbling down in a blink when it took far longer to build, it was all so captivating. For all their infancy, humans were still beautiful creatures just like any other being of the universe, willing to push the limits of their perceived capabilities. Though they had much to learn there was so much they had already broken the surface of.
Thor landed behind him as he stood marveling at Stark’s creation and all that went into building it and potentially will be put into destroying it.
“You have been getting better and better at controlling your speed and impact I see.”
“Heimdall! You always seem to see me coming, even before I decide to,” Thor greeted him with a brotherly embrace.
“It is quite a task to turn off thousands of years of servitude young king.”
“Please! We talked about this king business and I do not wish to revisit the conversation again. I am but a protector of the living whether it be my kin or the keepers of this land, no different than you.”
“As you wish, but again I stress, it’s hard to turn off.”

On his way back from cleaning up, Thor ran into Sam. Though it seemed he had just arrived, Sam was in a rush to leave, briefly greeting Thor on his way out and vaguely acknowledging the man Thor wanted to introduce him to, Sam breezed past a confused Heimdall whose expression turned primitive as soon as they bumped past each other, boarding the elevator with a mumbled “sorry my man”.
Watching this all play out in front of him, Thor could see exactly when the eyes of a piece of Heimdall that had long been made to heel reappeared. His Alpha was no longer compliant with the mental cage Heimdall had long ago forged, now he wanted out and he wanted to get to the source of the smell wafting from Sam’s clothes. He could smell the change in his friend as he turned his nose into the air, catching the sudden potency of Heimdall’s scent. More than anything, Thor could feel him. Now that something or someone had roused the most primal part of Heimdall without true duty to center his focus, it was like an explosion was encased in his body. It brought Thor to his knees, but it completely knocked Heimdall out once Sam had left the floor and took the scent with him.
When Heimdall opened his eyes to a concerned Thor, he knew his future was irreversibly changed. He found his omega.
“We have to go with Sam, now!” Heimdall yelled before he jumped up and sprinted after him.
—--
One year earlier.
Heimdall was exhausted after the battle with Hela, watching his homeland destroyed, and surviving space with the remaining refugees. It took all of his foresight to navigate their people around death at the hands of Thanos, but the Allfathers seemed to be on his side.
He was the first off the ship, making sure to be the bridge between his brethren and the keepers of the midgardians, the Avengers and S.H.I.E.L.D. If Thor had not personally embraced a few members - Sam turned to Heimdall for a hug as well, feeling like he already knew the guardian from the countless stories Thor told before he went to assist in helping everyone off and get set up - Heimdall’s skeptikism of the juxtaposed groups wouldn’tve abated even in the slightest. Seeing the evil that held S.H.I.E.L.D. captive, Heimdall made sure that no Asgardian citizen would be left without an Avenger or his king nearby.
While he was ushering two young children who were now orphaned into a medical tent, Sam rushed past him with supplies in tow, apologizing for the brief contact. Heimdall didn’t even notice he’d stopped moving until the children tugged on his hands towards the nurse that was beckoning them to her station. After he made sure they were going to be okay and Thor checked to see if he had seen a nurse for wound treatment for the third time, he sat down on a cot not too far from them.
Unconsciously still searching for whatever stopped him in his tracks, Heimdall’s gaze wandered aimlessly and his foresight became blurred. It wasn’t until Thor split from Sam to come sit in the tent with Heimdall that the guardian had refocused on the present.
Thor sensed something had been thrown off balance with Heimdall as soon as they had walked off the ship, but couldn’t quite pinpoint what it was. Heimdall’s closed off and defensive demeanor didn’t exactly assist in flushing out exactly what was wrong, but he was sure a hint wasn’t too far off.
After the throneless king and kingless guardian were sure every citizen was checked, fed, and provided temporary lodgings on the cots in the auditorium like room, Thor and Heimdall finally lay down themselves, closest to the main entrance. It took no time for Thor to succumb to slumber, however Heimdall was struggling to settle himself. He had felt the nameless shift within himself when he first touched the soil, but the commotion of getting everyone taken care of pushed it to the back of his mind.
Now that he was left in the deafening silence, all he could do was search his mind for answers to this sudden agitation. Though it took much longer than usual, he eventually dosed off, maintaining his uncomfortability throughout the dream. When the guardian jolted awake in a cold sweat only a few hours after finally falling asleep, all he could remember were two sets of unfamiliar eyes. If he thought hard enough, he could swear they had been the eyes of his beast and its twin soul, but that was impossible.
Long ago when he pledged his life to protect the throne he had to undergo a strenuous ritual that essentially caged his alpha, stripping away the urge to fulfill any rampant desires and needs. Yes, he still felt his alpha fight for the first two hundred years or so, but that was well over a millenia ago. He has lived too long with the silence of himself to really believe that his alpha had the strength to break free and claim what was his all of a sudden.
Even when he had fallen asleep again, waking to a nervous Thor while realizing he had been growling in his sleep, the guardian refused to believe. The young king never had a chance to even address it for Heimdall had brushed him off before he could open his mouth.
The longer he went without rectifying his discomfort, the worse his aggression and solitude became. Instead of settling in New Asgard with the rest of his peers, Heimdall chose to roam the forests of this world, checking in once every few weeks with Thor or Tony. He refused to ever verbally address his behaviour, but both he and Thor knew that he was searching. For what? He was going to find out soon enough.
~
Y/N was washing dishes as Sarah helped the boys with their homework when she started to sweat and a sharp pain cut through her abdomen, causing her to drop the dish in her hand. She tried to wave Sarah off, thinking it was a one-off pms cramp hinting at her approaching cycle, but was quickly brought to her knees when another wave of pain shot from her abdomen to her pussy.
“It can’t be.” Y/N said, too scared to acknowledge the possibility.
Sarah sent the boys to play by the docks and wrapped her arms around Y/N. As soon as Sarah looked into Y/N’s eyes, she knew. Despite all the doctors they ever visited telling Y/N that she would never present if she ever surpassed 21 without doing so, here they were 5 years later, getting the surprise of a lifetime.
“I think it’s finally happening.” said Sarah with a hesitant smile.
“No. It’s impossible. No one presents this late,” Y/N replied with tears in her eyes, “right?”
As soon as she grasped the counter to lift herself up, a stronger wave went through her. Unable to move past the pain, Y/N collapsed to the floor, curling into a fetal position. With each wave of pain, the volume of her sobs grew. Sarah picked up her cell and called Sam, hoping he’d get here in time. If an alpha didn’t get here soon, Y/N was going to die.
Thankfully Sam was already in the Quinjet heading back to the Stark compound from assisting the Asgardian people get settled in a Shield compound. He had Natasha drop him at Sarah’s 10 minutes after she called him. He had no clue what he was walking into, but whatever it was had Y/N screaming in the background and Sarah running over her words trying to explain what was going on.
As soon as he stepped off the quinjet he simultaneously smelled and heard Y/N. She was an omega. Oh god, she’s an omega, he thought before sprinting from the field to the house. Sarah was holding Y/N, trying to get her to drink a safflower tea she made to help with the pain.
Y/N was barely able to unclench her jaw to drink the tea when she smelled Sam walk into the house. It momentarily confused her to be able to smell him so strongly, but the thought left as soon as another cramp hit. When she looked up and saw him, a tortured whine left her throat, but her body immediately started to relax. Thank God for small miracles.
“Sarah, can you start setting up a nest in her room please?” Sam said as he took off his jacket, laying all of his things on the living room couch before approaching Y/N.
“Never thought you’d be the one to give Sarah a heart attack Y/N/N.” he said with a smirk.
Y/N let out a pained laugh, unable to ignore the irony of the situation.
“I’m going to pick you up now and you are going to keep your negative weight comments to yourself cause this ain’t the time. Ok?”
Y/N nodded, too far gone in her heat to argue with an alpha, especially when he used that voice. I guess it now made sense why she had to fight so hard to disobey their commanding tones before.
Thanks to his time with the Avengers and her lack of fight this time around, it was smooth sailing from the floor into his arms, unlike the jerky sneak attacks he used to submit her to.
By the time he made it to her room, Sarah had successfully formed a nest on Y/N’s bed and was spraying it down with her favorite scent for sleeping. He pulled her desk chair to the side of the bed and placed Y/N in the center, holding her hand.
Y/N’s pain was manageable until the second he removed her from against him. As soon as she hit the sheets, it was as if her pain meter turned back up to high.
“Please alpha, please. I can’t. Hurts too much.” Y/N said, full-on sobbing again.
Sam’s alpha couldn’t handle an omega, especially one he loved, to be in such pain. Despite his hesitance to intrude on such a sacred space as an omega’s nest, he climbed in after her. Y/N buried her nose into Sam’s chest, unknowingly taking in the remnants of the scent of the alpha that caused her to present. It wasn’t quite right because she could still smell Sam, but it was still 10x better than any scent she’d ever gotten a whiff of before.
It only took a few minutes of rubbing her back for Y/N to fall asleep, but Sam daren’t move for fear of waking her back into this nightmare.
Sarah was bringing up the tea from earlier and Sam’s incessantly ringing phone.
“Here, somebody under the name Dr. Angry keeps calling you.”
“Thanks Sarah. Before you go, quick question.”
“Sure. What’s up?”
“Were there any signs these last few days that she was going to present?”
“No. It happened so fast. One second she’s washing the dishes while I’m helping the boys with homework and the next my good baking dish is shattered on the floor and she’s curled over. I wasn’t even sure until she looked at me. How could this have happened? Every doctor we’ve ever been to said that she’d never present, never belong to a pack outside of the one she was born into. What changed?”
“I don’t know, but I’m going to find out.”
“Sam?”
“Yeah?”
“What are we going to do when she goes into heat and you’re not here to help with the pain? What are we going to do when you’re not here period and a desperate alpha tries to take her? I’m a lone widowed omega with two boys too young to help.”
“Sarah, take a deep breath. I don’t know how we’re going to get through this, but we will. I’m going to start by calling Bruce back.”
“Who?”
“Dr. Angry.”
“Oh ok. How can he help?”
“Well, there’s not much that man doesn’t know and what he doesn’t, he goes out and learns it.”
“Ok, if you say so. Hey, Sam?”
“Yeah, Sarah?”
“You think she’s going to be okay? She just accepted being unmateable this past year and now? What was supposed to be a gradual experience has hit her all at once.”
Sam looked at their little cousin who, for all intents and purposes, has been their little sister for the last 15 years.
“I know she is. Remember when she first came to live with us?”
“Yea, she was always fighting the biggest boys in her class. I could never get her to come home without blood on her clothes. Mom and I were always reprimanding her and you and dad encouraging her.”
“Right. She’s a fighter, always has been always will be.”
“And trust me, she hasn’t changed one bit since.”
“Exactly,” Sam said as he began rubbing Y/N’s back again when she started to whine in her sleep, “and you wanna know what I think?”
“What?”
“I think that the creator and biology decided that she didn’t need to be vulnerable until the alpha meant for her was ready and available to be her strength. She needs an alpha who will accept and respect her will to fight and not break it.”
“What makes you say that?”
“You know better than me that omegas are at risk of being taken advantage of from the moment they present until they are mated. With the increase in wars and violence, more and more alphas are desperate to claim any omega even if they don’t want to be and not many people protect an omega’s right to choose. No matter how much of a fighter she is, she would never have been able to deny an alpha’s command or her biology, not in the end. I think our girl was meant to have the type of claim you and mom got. Not just any alpha, but a true alpha with the discipline to care more about her needs than his. An alpha who will truly love, care, appreciate, and protect their omega with every fiber of their being.”
By the time Sam had finished his hopes for Y/N, Sarah was a puddle of tears.
“You know for all your goofing around, it’s often hard to remember that you’re the empath of this family. You never did know how to hide that part of yourself around her.”
“Well, she did wear her pain like a badge of honor back then and I could never ignore a damsel in distress.”
“Hence your budding relationship with the Winter soldier?” Sarah said with slight judgment in her voice and a raise of her eyebrow.
“We’ve had this conversation many times over the last few years and even you don’t believe Bucky is that man anymore. You have to let our first encounter go.”
“Yeah yeah yeah. I’ll tell you the same thing I’ve told you since you called to tell us you were going on the run with America’s poster boy. If he so much as lays another finger on your head violently he’s gonna have to deal with me.”
“There’ll be no need for that. Is there anything to eat? It’s been a long day and I haven’t eaten since breakfast.”
“I’m about to go make some spaghetti. It’ll be done in like 45 minutes.”
“Cool, I’m gonna talk to Banner.”
—--
A few moments before Heimdall and Thor arrived at the compound.
“What do you mean she’s started her heat?! It’s not due for another 6 weeks!” Sam yelled into his phone as he frantically texted Natasha and started packing the go-bag he just emptied.
“I know. The wait between is getting shorter and shorter and the pain is getting worse and worse. This is exactly what I was afraid of, she could die if you don’t get here in time.”
“I’m moving as quickly as I can. I had just washed off the mission when you called.”
“I know, Sam, but this isn't working anymore. We need to find a way to convince her to come live on the compound with you. Stark’s offer still stands, right?”
“You’re right and yes, it’s a standing offer. I have a feeling she’s going to force my hand on this, you remember how she reacted the last few times we brought it up.”
“I don’t care about her feelings anymore. She’s a ticking time bomb and nothing I do helps anymore. She’s built a tolerance to every remedy I know and there are new alphas in town that have taken notice of her unclaimed omega status and have been asking around about her. I’m at my wit’s end!”
“Deep breaths Sarah, deep breaths. I’m walking out of the compound now. I’ll shoot you a text when I’m getting ready to land. Okay?”
“Okay, and Sam?” Y/N let out an otherworldly wail at that moment.
“I’ll break the sound barrier if I have to.”
He rushed through the compound accidentally running into multiple people including the god of thunder and his oddly familiar friend.
Natasha had just finished the preflight check and was walking back to the building when Sam practically sprinted onto the tarmac.
“Woah, where’s the fire?” she asked.
“Louisiana. It’s Y/N.”
“Again? So soon?”
“Yeah, and I’m worried her and Sarah might be in danger. There are unfamiliar alphas in town.”
“I’m coming with you then.”
“Usually I’d argue with you, but I think I might need the help this time.”
“Good.”
Heimdall busted out of the building with Thor hot on his heels and sprinted straight into the quinjet, strapping in and not so patiently waiting for the others to do the same.
As he passed Natasha and Sam he said, “We need to go now, our window is closing by the second.”
Once Natasha had leveled out the plane, Sam finally voiced his confusion.
“I’m grateful for your assistance, but how do you know we’re running out of time and why are you interested in tagging along?”
It took everything in Heimdall not to growl at Sam. His logical mind knew what type of person he was, having briefly met when they landed on Midgard and hearing many stories of Thor’s sir Falcon stories, but his alpha was on high alert. This man has his omega’s scent on him. The scent that has been haunting his dreams for the last year.
Thor spoke up for him, sensing the battle within him. “If I had to guess Sir Falcon, whoever’s scent you wear is his omega and she is in imminent danger.”
“That answers the why. What about how?” Sam asked
“Heimdall has acute senses. He can hear, see, smell, and feel far more than most beings in the universe. His ability also allows him to see all possible outcomes of any being in the universe’s actions. The more he focuses, the more he sees.”
Heimdall looked up finally, glancing over the room before he locked eyes with Sam.
“I saw the end of me. I saw my soul leave this earth before I could ever hear my name from her lips or hold her in my arms. If we don’t get there in time…it will destroy me.” Heimdall gruffly said, eyes tearing up despite his unwillingness to release the tears that held the pain and worry crushing him.
“All of that from a scent?”
“That is what happens when you deny and cage your alpha for more than a millenia, especially one with skills such as mine. The second we get a whiff or the moment we lay eyes on our true mates, whatever chains and cages we placed to keep them docile are immediately broken and our focus is lasered onto them. I landed on this planet unbound to duty and the first scent I smelled was hers through your embrace.”
“Hmm. Is that true?” Sam let out as he stroked his face in contemplation.
“It’s as true as the skin that covers my bones and the blood that pumps through my heart.”
“If so, then how come this is the first time I’m hearing about it.”
“It is not the first time. I have been struggling since that first fateful night, plagued with haunting dreams and twisted nightmares, but I refused to even acknowledge the possibility that an omega could be the cause. Since her scent was covered by the commotion when we first landed and every time I have smelled her since has been through secondary or tertiary contact leaving me and my senses to grasp at straws, I was never able to find the source. Also, it did not exactly aide my search that you hug just about everyone. Today was the first opportunity I had to truly take in her scent from your clothes. I didn’t want to voice an issue I wasn’t sure of.”
“Is that so?”
“It is the only explanation for why I was never able to see her clearly until today. Who is she to you anyway? Your clothes are practically drenched in her.” Heimdall asked more aggressively than intended.
“No need to get riled up, she’s my little sister,” Sam said, to which Heimdall merely grunted in response. “You know who’s the threat?”
“They rode roaring bicycles and wore matching black jackets with different names on the back. I’ve never encountered humans like them before so I do not know their status.”
Sam sighed and rubbed his face. “Leave it to Y/N to attract as much danger as possible by simply existing. Any chance we can go faster Nat?”
“Only if you all strap back in and hold onto your bootstraps.”
“You heard the lady, buckle up.”
—--
Sarah heard the rumbling of motorcycles coming down her driveway and prayed that Sam brought backup. It seems those alphas that were asking around found them and as luck would have it they were part of an MC.
She told the boys to hide with Y/N before she grabbed her father’s trusty shotgun and walked onto the porch ready to defend her family.
“You’re trespassing,” she spoke from her porch when they lined their bikes up in front of her house, the president and enforcer of the club getting off their bikes to approach.
The president said, “Whatever happened to that good ol’ southern hospitality I’ve been hearing about?” He spat tobacco-filled saliva onto the grass as he tilted his head to scan her and his posse dismounted their bikes. “Don’t you want to introduce us to that sweet little omega you’ve been hiding? And if you don’t make a fuss, I’ll even find an Alpha for a lonely cute little thing like you.”
Sarah cocked the gun and pointed it at them. “That’s far enough.”
Natasha quickly pulled off to the side of the house and landed as smoothly as could be expected. Everyone quickly unloaded and lined themselves up between Sarah and the MC, Sam and Heimdall practically rushing her.
“Well boys, looks like some of the Avengers are here to spoil our fun. Let’s not overstay our welcome.” the president said as he indicated to his MC to leave, spitting out some more tobacco before mounting his bike. They left in a cloud of dust and exhaust.
Sarah leaned more towards Sam, eyeing the unknown alpha during such a vulnerable moment.
“Sarah, this is Heimdall. There’s no time to explain so don’t argue. Take him to Y/N,” Sam said as he took the shotgun from her and took up post on the porch. “We’ll stay out here.”
“You sure? I fear she’s been far worse far longer than today than she’s ever let on.”
Sam and Heimdall seemed to share a whole conversation in one look. “I don’t think we’ll find better hands to place her in.”
Thor and Natasha switched between patrolling the grounds and standing watch out front. No matter how much they cared for Y/N/N, she was still an unmated Omega in a distressed heat and they were alphas, biology told them to go and care for her, mate her. And with Heimdall as her mate? Neither were willing to put their lives at risk until their scents stopped suffocating the air around the house.
—---
Heimdall was quiet as he followed Sarah through the house. Never had he felt such a mixture of emotion, excited butterflies in his belly paired with anxiety and fear gripping his chest and throat at not being a good enough Alpha for her.
As they were nearing the top of the stairs, the boys came bursting out of her room.
“I thought I told you to wait until I came and got you.”
“We know, but Aunt Y/N/N’s starting to bleed mom and I think she passed out. We didn’t know what to do!”
Heimdall pushed past them, in a panic to soothe his mate back into the land of the living.
“It’s okay, you did good. Go downstairs with your Uncle Sam, he’s on the front porch.”
Y/N was shivering in a puddle of sweat and slick in the middle of her nest, the blood the boys were talking about just starting to turn the room from sickly sweet to a pungent sour. Sarah ran a bath in the bathroom across the hall and grabbed a change of sheets, placing them on her desk. Heimdall crouched to Y/N’s side to gently push the stray curls out of her face, wiping the sweat on her face and neck away with a nearby T-shirt. Y/N whimpered at the contact, but simply sighed in response, too far gone to move or really respond.
“Hey there Omega, I’m here now. Not gonna ever leave your side.” Heimdall continued to care for her as they waited for the tub to be filled, trying to soothe her with his words and light touches. “Such a strong omega, waiting patiently for me, trying not to burden an Alpha that’s not your claim. Only my omega would deny herself any relief to try and be a help over a hinderance, huh?”
Sarah watched Heimdall look after Y/N for a few minutes, too stricken by the reality that Sam’s words from the year prior were far more true than either of them realized. Their little sis was getting the exact type of Alpha she needed. “Hey, the tub is nearly full. If you get her cleaned up, I’ll change the sheets.”
Heimdall grunted and gently scooped Y/N into his arms, cradling her to his chest. Following the sound of running water, he went into the bathroom and sat her on top of the toilet. Having barely been conscious until Heimdall lifted her from the bed, Y/N was having trouble focusing on anything other than her omega’s response to the unfamiliar alpha in charge of her care, not even her thoughts. Every reaction was pure primitive muscle memory, as if her body knew what was best, now in control of her feelings and actions.
Turning off the water and testing the temperature before tenderly removing her sleep shirt and shorts, Heimdall gingerly scooped Y/N into his arms again, making a mental note to get rid of the blood left behind. However, when he went to place her into the water she clung to his shirt and yowled, refusing to part from his grasp.
“I promise you’ll feel much better when you’re all cleaned up little one, you just have to let me put you down.” Again he tried with the same reaction. Wanting to hurry up and get to the part where they get acquainted Heimdall let his Alpha voice seep in a little, not wanting to frighten her. “Come now omega, this tub is too small for the two of us. The sooner you go in, the sooner I can hold you again. Now be good and let me bathe you.”
Y/N whined, but let Heimdall place her in the tub, still refusing to let him go, but conceding to only having contact with his arm.
After making the bed Sarah checked on the couple again, placing a set of clothes and a glass of water on the counter. Although Heimdall had tried to stop her, she cleaned off the toilet as well and made sure to reprimand Heimdall for trying to do anything other than directly care for Y/N, stating that “the only fingers you will be lifting in this house will be to take care of our girl,” Feeling that Y/N was indeed in good hands, Sarah joined the boys on the porch.
Heimdall made her drink the entire glass of water before he started to bathe her, gently wiping away a day’s worth of grime. He hadn’t noticed when he started, but he was humming an old lullaby long buried in his memory. By the time he was finished, they were both far more relaxed. Y/N had stopped shivering and bleeding, and the frantic panic that had been choking Heimdall since he heard she was bleeding had loosened its hold.
Y/N was still uncomfortable and fatigued, but no longer felt as if she was knocking on death’s door. The crippling pain in her core had subsided to a throb, but the second Heimdall smoothly lifted her out of the tub and placed her on the counter to dry her off, the throb roared to an intense ache that settled at the base of her core and the tip of her clit. Her body wanted her alpha and now.
Finally having the mental capacity, she looked over the Alpha in charge of her care, Y/N cocked her head back, meeting golden lava eyes that lit her ablaze from head to toe.
Heimdall smirked at her dazed expression, no doubt mirroring it with one of his own. Holding her face in his hands, stroking her cheeks he said, “Hi, Omega.”
Y/N sighed into his embrace. “Hi, Alpha.” To which Heimdall gave her a forehead kiss.
Heimdall shucked off his jacket, placing it on the counter, followed by his shirt which he slid onto her. Y/N’s eyes got wide at the sudden display of his chiseled chest and had to fight everything in her nature to keep herself from preening.
Suddenly unsure of his decision to bypass the clothes Sarah left behind, Heimdall said, “I hope its okay with you that you sleep in my shirt. I thought it would help even though it’s a little wet.”
Y/N nodded and hummed her assent, smirking at the now nervous god. “It’s perfect.”
Heimdall nodded and scooped her into his arms again and walked back to her room, gently laying her in the center of her freshly made bed. He tried reforming a comfortable nest with the leftover pillows, blankets, and stuffed animals strewn about her room. Y/N whined the entire time until he felt there was enough soft material.
“Alpha please, need you.”
“Alright, little one. Let me just grab my jacket. You need as much comfort as possible.”
Y/N let loose a long whine of “Alpha” until Heindall returned with his jacket in hand. She watched him puzzle about where to put the jacket and how he was going to fit on her bed with her for about 15 seconds before she grabbed his hand and yanked him down. Startled by the sudden display of strength and need, Heimdall just barely was able to stop himself from crushing Y/N entirely, moving to her side.
After he had been squirming around on the bed trying to get comfortable for what Y/N deemed too long, but what was probably only a few more seconds, she pushed him to lay down on his back so that she could straddle him and finger his locs and chest hair while she listened to the strange beat of his heart. Still holding his jacket in hand, Heimdall laid it on them before pulling the covers up.
He had gone back to rubbing her skin soothingly on her thighs and lower back while humming the same tune from earlier, creating a bubble of contentment for them both. They laid like that long enough for Heimdall to think Y/N had fallen asleep from her slow steady breaths when she subtly started wiggling against him. Determined to take things as slow as he could muster, Heimdall had already decided that they would not engage in intercourse before he got to know and earn the trust of the soul behind the omega. Although it pained him, he stilled her movements by grasping her hips.
Unfortunately for him, now that his omega had a little strength and energy, she was determined to get the relief she sought, refusing to keep still. She even resorted to begging directly into his ear, hoping his Alpha would break completely free and give them what they both needed.
“Please Alpha, please. Need you. Make it stop, hurts so bad, please make it stop,” she whined and pouted, continuing her wiggling assault. It took every ounce of self-control to hold his Alpha at bay.
Heimdall started purring, hoping the vibration would soothe her burning desire, but quickly realized that if either was going to get to sleep, he was going to have to step a toe over the line he had drew. Thankful he ignored the clothes Sarah brought, Heimdall brought his dominant hand to her core, gathering her slick and finding his way to her clit. Y/N mewled at the contact, relieved to finally get some real alleviation, even if it wasn’t exactly what she wanted.
Scared of hurting her Heimdall was as gentle as he could be, lightly rubbing her clit with his thumb while he allowed his fingers to tease her dripping hole. He watched every facial expression, memorizing how each graze of his fingers elicited a different one. Never had he been in the presence of a more exquisit being and he wanted to make sure that he would be an expert in his Omega’s pleasure, for that was all she deserved.
After he pulled two orgasms with her trying to ride his hand for more pressure and Heimdall pulling back to give her only what he deemed necessary, he finally plunged two of his thick fingers into her sopping pussy. He curled them until she made a noise that signaled he’d found what he was looking for and then he went to town massaging that exact spot, refusing to move from it.
All Y/N could do was take the pleasure he gave. Unlike her previous partners who gave into her every demand, subliminal or verbal, Heimdall refused to take her lead. Everytime she moved to get the exact spark of pleasure she was looking for he returned her back to his pace and position. It was maddening, but it was absolutely divine how he seemed to know her body better than her. After the first orgasm she stopped making an effort to fuck herself on his fingers and let him give what he wished.
Four more orgasms later and she could no longer fight the call of sleep, too exhausted by the day’s events. The last thing she saw before succumbing to the bliss of peaceful slumber was Heimdall looking directly into her eyes and cleaning his hand off as if he hadn’t eaten since arriving to Earth. After he was satisfied he got every drop, Heimdall hunkered down a little further on the bed, not wanting a crick in his neck, and did his best not move too much more. It wasn’t too much longer before he followed her to dream land.

After Thor and Natasha checked the perimeter a few times they decided it was safe to venture closer to the house, noticing how much less suffocating both Y/N and Heimdall’s scents were. Sam was telling Sarah and the boys as much about Heimdall as he could, considering they only officially just met and the majority of his knowledge was from Thor’s stories. He was glad Thor had walked over because then maybe he could shed some more light and put the boys at ease. Strangely enough and despite her initial skeptikism when they first arrived, Sarah had walked out of the house more relaxed than he’s seen her in at least a year.
Noting the lightness that filled the air as the Alpha pair walked up the steps, she figured it was safe enough to usher everyone inside, doing just that. She urged Sam, Thor, and Natasha to the kitchen to eat some leftovers, thankful she had decided to make chili, before she followed the boys upstairs to tuck them in. When she returned, her chili pot and cornbread pan were nearly empty and all she heard was scraping against empty bowls.
Sam noticed her first, taking this opportunity to ask the question that had been weighing on him since she returned to the porch. “How come you’re so calm now?”
“What do you mean?” Sarah asked.
“Well you looked ready to murder Heimdall for having the audacity to even step onto the porch when we arrived, but the second you came outside you were far more relaxed than I’ve seen you since this all started. Hell, maybe even longer.”
“Easy. Remember that conversation we had the first night? About why it had taken so long for her to present?”
“Yeah.”
“Do you remember what you told me?”
“The gist of it.”
“Well I’m pretty sure you were right after watching him care for her and while doing so it was almost like getting a glimpse of both the past and the future.”
“What do you mean?” Sam asked.
“Remember how I used to stay up to watch mom and dad at night and you used to come get me before I could get caught?”
“Sure do. I got in trouble instead a few times.”
Sarah rolled her eys and continued. “Well, I got a flash of that and then it morphed into Y/N and what did you say his name was again, Heimdall right?” Sam nodded “I saw a flash of them in a similar setting around the same age. And you wouldn’t believe me if I told you, but it was as if my alpha came up behind me while I was watching them and told me we could trust him with her.”
Sam’s eyes widened at the last part, knowing how difficult it was for Sarah to bring up her deceased mate. “After talking with him on our way here my doubts were mostly washed away, but if I ever needed a stamp of approval that was it.”
“Me too Sammy, me too.” she said, sniffling in an effort to hold back all of the emotion bombarding her. “Don’t forget to set your guests up on the spare beds, I’m calling it a night.”
“Okay, sweet dreams Sarah, love you little sis.”
“Love you too bighead.”
“Have the most pleasant of dreams lady Sarah, we appreciate the meal you prepared.” Thor said.
“Yeah, you kick ass in more than one department. You must share this recipe tomorrow.” Natasha added.
Sarah smiled weakly, “We’ll see. I have a feeling that all of our agendas are going to cater to making sure Y/N actually listens to what’s best for her for a change so yawl hurry up and get some sleep.”
Natasha responded with a “you got it” before the three of them cleaned the kitchen and turned in.
Sam laid in bed trying to conjure the images Sarah had described before sleep took him as well.
