Josephine Skriver for Alpha A Campaign. (2011)

Making some faceplace/talksprites! I think it's off to a good start.
That’s It? (Zack Taylor Gay Fluff)
Prompt: Could you write something where Zack comes out to the power rangers about having a boyfriend, who isn't a power ranger? The next day they show him their fortress? Sorry if this is vague.
Zack paced the command center as he waited for the other rangers. He texted them an hour ago to call for a meeting, and he was a bit early. Zordon and Alpha watched as Zack walked from on end to the other over and over again.
“Do you think he’s okay?” Alpha whispered to Zordon.
“Alpha, I don’t have whispering capabilities. Why wouldn’t he be okay? Are humans not usually walking around?”
“I don’t think they walk about aimlessly, sir. Nor do they walk back and forth repetitively for an extended period of time. Even for humans that’s not particularly smart.”
Zack rolled his eyes. “I’m fine, guys. It’s called pacing. People do it when they’re nervous, and don’t know what to do.”
Alpha and Zordon exchanged confused looks before nodding at Zack, clearly not understanding at all, but probably not caring enough to delve deeper. Zack huffed and collapsed onto the steps. He stretched out and let out a groan.
“They’re late.”
“Look who’s talking,” a voice piped up from the entrance. “You’re always at least 20 minutes late - on a good day, might I add.” Kimberly sauntered in smiling at Zack teasingly.
“She’s not lying,” Billy followed her in.
They both took seats beside Zack and laughed. “Haha,” Zack said sarcastically. “Laugh it up all you want.”
Trini walked in just as Zack said that. “Why are we laughing at Zack now? You know what, I don’t care. I’ll laugh with you either way. More chances to make fun of him.” Trini plopped down beside Billy and pulled out her phone from the waterproof backpack.
Jason arrived about 5 minutes later. He entered the command center to find the others chatting aimlessly.
“Yo.”
“Hey! Mr. Bossman! Last to arrive!”
Jason laughed. “Look who’s talking.”
“That’s what I said!” Kimberly pitched in.
Zordon’s voice boomed over the rest of theirs like it always did. “Zack, why did you call everyone together?”
Zack froze. “About that, I wanted to tell you guys something.”
Zack stood and descended the short steps, and Jason sat down where Zack just was. “Alright. Why was it such an emergency? Is something wrong? Oh no. Is your mom okay?” Everyone was on their feet, concerned and ready to comfort Zack.
Zack chuckled and shook his head. “Nah, nothing like that. Thanks for the concern though.” The rangers visibly relaxed and sank back down to the steps. “So...” Zack clapped his hands together, suddenly cold. “I, um, wanted to introduce you guys to someone.” He rubbed his hands together, trying to warm them up.
The others exchanged confused looks. “Alright...” Billy said. “Who?”
Zack gulped and cleared his throat. “Um... So... Yeah... I may or may not, um... have, uh... made a new... friend?”
Trini perked up at Zack’s nervousness. “Ooooohhhh, big Zack Taylor is blushing! This is going to be so fun as blackmail material!” Kimberly fist bumped Trini, matching her mischievous smile.
“Guys, come one. Let him talk,” Jason said.
Everyone turned their full attention back to Zack.
“Okay...” Zack couldn’t seem to find the words while there were so many eyes on him. “Uh... I met someone -”
“Oh my god! Congratulations, Zack! You finally found a nice girl who can handle the crazy?” Kimberly beamed.
“Sort of...” Zack took a deep breath. “I met a guy named (Y/N).” Zack stared at the other rangers, waiting for them to speak up, but they just stared right back at him.
“That makes a lot of sense now...” Trini said.
“What?! I didn’t think I was making it that obvious!” Zack exclaimed.
“Well, you were the only one to realize that I wasn’t exactly into guys. You’re gaydar is too good for you to be straight, no offense to you guys or anything,” Trini gestured to the rest of the team. Kimberly blushed and Jason and Billy smiled.
Everyone was in silence for a bit.
“Was that it?” Zordon said, a bit confused. “You just wanted to inform us that you had a boyfriend? I don’t understand. Is this something urgent? Hasn’t Kimberly had a boyfriend? Is it that crucial for others to know?”
Trini burst out laughing. “Oh, this is good.”
Alpha also seemed confused. “Master Zack, is something wrong with your boyfriend? Do you need out help with something?”
Zack shook his head, beet red. “No, for humans, it’s not normal for us to be in a relationship with other humans of the same gender.”
Alpha and Zordon looked at each other again. They nodded just like before and turned back to Zack. “Why?” Zordon asked.
Zack swirled around on the balls of his feet to face the rangers on the steps. “Guys? A little help?”
“Zordon, Alpha. There really isn’t a reason why. There’s a select group of people who just don’t like humans that choose another human of the same gender as their spouse,” Billy explained. “It’s not normal because the majority of people don’t do it, so there are some who condemn it since it’s different.”
“Doesn’t that mean that they would condemn Master Zack? How do we stop that? Master Zack shouldn’t be condemned.” Alpha was earnestly distressed at the thought.
“Wait, one can’t just condemn something just on the basis that it’s different. There would be too many things to condemn and humans would die off quickly,” Zordon seemed even more confused now. “You humans aren’t very smart - with the exception of you, of course, Billy. First, the pacing, not the the discrimination. How have you humans survived this long? Dinosaurs wouldn’t have done this.”
The others were giggling into their fists.
“What?”
“I’ll explain it to you guys later,” Billy assured. “That is a very long conversation.”
Kimberly spoke to Zack again, still beaming. “When are we meeting him?”
“More importantly, who is he?” Trini asked, putting her phone away.
“Do we have to prepare an ‘if you hurt him’ speech?” Jason asked the others. “That’s something we’re supposed to do right?”
“Guys! I’ll just introduce him during lunch tomorrow!”
The rangers immediately agreed.
“Jesus, Zack. You scared us. We thought you were in trouble or something. You didn’t have to be so dramatic about it. We’re all friends aren’t we?” Jason said. “Maybe we need more team bonding stuff.”
“NO!” Everyone screamed at the same time, including Alpha and Zordon. Jason always had terrible team bonding ideas.
Zack laughed with the others, relieved. That went well.
(Y/N) waved shyly at the 4 teenagers sitting at the lunch table in the courtyard. He stood beside Zack at the head of the table, and Zack had an arm wrapped around his waist, pulling him in flush to Zack’s side. (Y/N) had his other arm in his pocket.
Everyone at the table immediately got up and greeted (Y/N) cheerfully. They sat him down, asking him questions and complimenting him.
“Damn, you nabbed a nice looking one,” Trini whispered Zack.
Zack blushed. “Of course I did. (Y/N) is the as good as it gets!”
Zack got up on the lunch table - luckily everyone already finished their food - and screamed into the sky. “(Y/N) is the best!”
The rangers were shocked. They knew how significant that phrase was to Zack and nodded at him, smiling. They were happy for him.
“This is where we usually hang out,” Jason said as he led (Y/N) into Zack’s hideout. “It used to be only Zack’s place, but now it’s all of ours.”
The rangers showed (Y/N) everything as Zack stood by the side, letting his friends take turns talking animatedly about something with (Y/N). Trini leaned against the train car near Zack.
“I’m glad you introduced him to us.”
“I wanted you guys to know... We’re friends, aren’t we?”
“Of course.”
“You guys are my first... It was important for you guys to know.”
The other rangers clearly heard Zack while (Y/N) was oblivious. It was slight, but they all smiled a bit brighter after that.
(Y/N) began opening up to the rangers during the short tour, slowly making bonds with them. Zack decided to join his side. He slung his arm around (Y/N)’s shoulder and looked straight into his eyes.
“Thank you,” Zack whispered.
(Y/N) blushed and bumped his forehead into Zack’s shoulder, and Zack pressed his lips on top of his head, placing an over dramatic smooch. The two of them giggled like little children with a secret.
“OOOOOHHHHHH. KIM! GET THE CAMERA! WE’RE MISSING THE BLACKMAIL!” Trini whooped. “PDA ALREADY!”
“Get a room!” Jason laughed.
“WHIP ‘EM OUT!” Kimberly screamed from on top of the train car. She had her phone in her hand, camera pointed straight at the couple.
The two of them choked on air, and glared at Kimberly, both red as tomatoes. The team laughed.
At least they get along. Zack grinned. “You want PDA?! You’d better have that camera rolling!”
“Wait, what?” (Y/N) asked.
Zack swept (Y/N) of his feet, laced his fingers with (Y/N)’s, placed a hand on his lower back, and leaned over. (Y/N) was tilted backwards with Zack holding him up, faces mere centimeters from each other. It was like some classic rom-com movie.
“You ready?” Zack whispered.
“Stupid. Of course I am.”
Zack kissed him, breathing in the deep, satisfactory scent. They both smiled, eyes closed, faces not even a centimeter apart anymore. Kimberly and Trini were cat calling while Jason wolf whistled. Billy was laughing in the corner.
“YOU GOT IT, RIGHT KIM?!”
“No, you don’t understand. Humans think really strongly about things that are different,” Billy explained to Alpha and Zordon.
“Aren’t all humans different? It would be complete anarchy!” Zordon exclaimed.
“Yes, but the majority of humans share some basic characteristics, so they group themselves. Like the racial issues for example. Slavery was a huge issue in the past since black people, like me, were different from white people.”
“If that was the case, I’m quite positive Asians would be killing all other races right now, Master Billy. There are so many more of them! They hold the majority.” Alpha tilted his head.0
Billy groaned and shook his head to the ceiling.
Alpha A: Where are you going?
Jason: To go get ice cream or commit a felony.
Rangers: ?!?
Jason: I'll decide in the car.
