Lore Thursday — Xeno Orders

The "xeno orders" are a UNSC document outlining procedures and regulations pertaining to the discovery of alien artifacts. The destruction of The Knowing on Ariel and Cortana's possession of Alpha Halo's Activation Index violated these orders.

What had to be done to your armor, after your trip from the original or first installation encounter due to the flood? With flood spores being a direct hazard and the facilities and Flood themselves being spore-carriers, how did you rid any trace of the spores from the MJOLNIR armor as to not cause another infection? Or would your shields have generally dealt with the spores and/or not picked them up?

Shields, fortunately. But more than just the shields.

Credit where due, I owe Cortana. She was always inventive with hardware. Figured out a trick with my shield systems to burn anything organic off the surface, so we knew I was clean.

We were, to be frank, damn lucky the Ascendant Justice hadn't picked up any fleas before we boarded her and cleared out.

As for my suit: It was decommissioned after return to Earth. New kit was available. Old new kit gave all it had to give.

I love that from the start, 343 through Blur hinted at the Halo stored in the Ark’s central forges. If you look closely at the opening shots of the Ark, you can make it out barely.

Daily Drawing Challenge 2: It's a new year and that means new fanart! I gotta say, I don’t see enough flood/mark V art - basically The Battle of Alpha Halo needs more fanart because it's sick! A guerilla warfare campaign on a giant ring against alien maniacs and space zombies!
