Feeling
Born empty handed but full hearted Emotion is all that separates us from the departed Whether it be the red rampaging rage Or the vibrant grey with age It's a shame we fear to feel It's due to the fear to deal So we do what we can to conceal It's foolish because our insides seep through the pours Skin tight isn't enough to keep away the oars ripping through the shores That quickly turn into oceans of emotions It's foolish not to embrace our humanly traits To act as if we are dry as the moon can drive a man serrate We are collectively a single grain of sand in this beach To wear ones current color is giving one a chance to reach To be reached and secure significance Yet we feel that feeling is belligerence To our reputation and expectation That we fall silent amongst the inaudible mosh pit And we deteriorate in silence
