For me, arrogance is an inflated sense of self, in a grandiose way. It's thinking everything you do or are is the best. Importance is different. Importance is knowing you are doing or being something worth while. They are two completely different mindsets. You can feel important without being arrogant.
Okay, thank you! This makes sense! I don’t know why I got so confused about it. Maybe it’s because it’s possible to feel so important that you believe you are the best and that the work you do cannot be improved. There is always going to be people better and worse than you at something. Recognizing that is the biggest difference between feeling important and being arrogant. Recognizing that there are people better than you at something keeps you from being arrogant, but recognizing that you are good at something and have value gives you a sense of importance.
Thank you so much! I feel so much better now. xD
alphateeth replied to your post:you're an olcity fan? I'm...disappointed. How...
You should be a fan of whatever you want to be a fan of. Plus, olicity is great!
Yeah, of course, But I’m still kinda sad my anon feels that way. I mean, as stupid as this does sound, I do feel like I let them down some how.
I started watching TW because I had a couple friends who watched it and promised it wasn't as corny as it looked. And then I became hooked and never looked back!
Yep that’s how it always goes. I sadly didn’t really get my sisters hooked since they still tease me about it but i did get them to watch it.
Thanks for the story!
