Day 2: 3rd birthday

Alphyne will have so many babies.  Undyne will be called Ma or Mama, Alphys will be called Oka-san or Ka-chan.  Because why not.

Wigs

A lot of people portray Alphyne’s child with Undyne’s glorious mane, and who can blame them? But imagine if you will, that Alphys and Udnyne’s son or daughter was instead born with Alphys’ head spines instead, and they would look something like a mixture between those and Undyne’s ear fins. Fabulous in its own right.  One morning, their little child says something like, “I wish I had hair like you momma,” to Undyne. Undyne reassures them that they’re beautiful just the way they are and she wouldn’t change a thing, but the kid says, “but I want to brush my hair and have you braid it like me and mommy braid yours.” Alphys and the kid playing with Undyne’s hair, adorable right? So, Undyne gets an idea and she picks up the kid and they both go find Alphys. Undyne asks Alphys to help her make their kid a wig out of Undyne’s own hair, that way they would have hair just like momma’s.  When you think about it, Alphys has experience with making wigs. Or at the very least, one very glamorous and sturdy one; unless Mettaton’s hair is something ridiculous like hard plastic or fiberglass. So Alphys phones up Mettaton, who has extensive experience caring for, styling, and generally looking glamorous with a wig, or multiple after he got to the surface. So Alphys and Undyne make the kid their very own wig of momma’s beautiful hair, with momma Undyne rocking the shaved look for a few months, and Uncle Mettaton comes along to teach them all about how to take care of their wig, how to style it, how to make it stay on their head, and generally how to work it. And it is fabulous. And since hair is a renewable resource, they can easily make a spare after Undyne’s hair grows back.

Wow I can’t believe so many people want to hear about my Alphyne kid. Thanks guys, it really means a lot!

Anyway, Tesni was born on the surface. She’s named Tesni because it means warmth from the sun and Alphys wanted a meaningful name that reflected how happy they were to be on the surface. Undyne wanted to name her Sunny, or Star, or something and Alphys secretly thought those names were unoriginal.

She’s taller than Alphys and fatter than Undyne. She looks kind of reptilian like Alphys, but with green scales. She has short spiky red hair that’s shaved on the left side and wear glasses like Alphys. She’s really excitable and active, but kind of shy. She won’t even talk to people until she feels confident enough around them. She likes making stuff, especially sculpting.

She has a really good relationship with both of her moms. Undyne is her role model and Alphys always gives her advice and comforts her. (Undyne does too, but Alphys more so) She’s a total weeb like Alphys, but she likes fighting animes more than shojo animes.
