But basically Home Depot and Lowe's have security cameras that can read license plates in their parking lots and the Johnson County Sheriff's Office in Texas has access. Importantly, those cameras may be elsewhere, as Flock’s automated license plate reader (ALPR) cameras are used in many places. And no, not just if a crime has been committed at the Lowe's or Home Depot.
