Alprazolam Tablets is a medication that is used to treat anxiety disorders
Alprazolam is a type of benzodiazepine. It is believed to work by increasing the activity of certain neurotransmitters in the brain. Alprazolam is used to treat anxiety disorders, panic disorders, and depression-related anxiety. Buying alprazolam over the Internet or from a country other than the United States is risky. The sale and distribution of medicines outside the United States violates the Food and Drug Administration's safe-use regulations (FDA). These medications may contain hazardous ingredients or be distributed by a non-licensed pharmacy.
In humans, cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) metabolises alprazolam to two major metabolites in the plasma: 4-hydroxyalprazolam and -hydroxyalprazolam. Humans are also exposed to a benzophenone derived from alprazolam. Their half-lives appear to be comparable to alprazolam's. The plasma concentrations of 4-hydroxyalprazolam and -hydroxyalprazolam were always less than 4% of the unchanged alprazolam concentration. In benzodiazepine receptor binding experiments and animal models of induced seizure inhibition, the reported relative potencies for 4-hydroxyalprazolam and -hydroxyalprazolam are 0.20 and 0.66, respectively. Because of their low concentrations and lower potencies, 4-hydroxyalprazolam and -hydroxyalprazolam are unlikely to contribute significantly to the pharmacological effects of alprazolam. The metabolite of benzophenone is essentially inactive. Alprazolam and its metabolites are primarily excreted in the urine.
