yeah some people are mad that: a) cecily isn't doing update solo, or b) they didn't pick one of the new guys like mike, brooks, or beck to do it

i've watched some of his standup on youtube and he's really funny. i think he'll be a good fit and he seems like he's good at delivering jokes the way an update anchor should, if that makes sense?? also his hair and eyes are fantastic

1. Talk about your favorite film of all time (or one of them)

My top favorite is a solid tie between Clueless and White Christmas. With Clueless, I just really feel like that is flawless comedy and storytelling. It takes a group of people with a certain silly stereotype and yeah, parodies them, but also takes them seriously. Cher could be vapid and shallow and a joke with no substance, but the movie never treats her like a joke. It respects her and her feelings and doesn't look down on her, and that's so fucking important when you're telling the story of a woman. And then White Christmas, it's just a cozy, old film full of music I adore. I grew up listening to Bing Crosby every single Christmas of my life. And Rosemary Clooney is just a dream. It's just a comfort movie every winter, and it makes me so happy when I watch it.

30. What’s a movie or show you love but often forget about?

Will & Grace. It doesn't quite have the tumblr presence of other older sitcoms, like Friends. But I fucking adored that show, own every season on dvd, and quote it with my mom constantly. I never see gifsets of it, besides a very occasional Karen gifset. That show was so fucking funny, man.

No, you’re definitely not. I get roasts are a no limits thing, but there’s a way to be zingy and playful with it and then there’s just offensive stuff for a cheap laugh. I mean don’t get me wrong, she wasn’t the only one, but I didn’t find her funny

Yeah, same. Everyone on here was like 'she's easily one of the best' and after watching it I'm like 'do you find her good because you found her comments funny or because you found them to be true?' because none of it was really even worded jokingly, it was just offensive.

YEP! I totally agree. I was cringing during her entire set. I think it wasn’t so much the jokes as the way they were delivered (she just sounded so mean and cocky and like she actually meant what she was saying).

Yeah, I agree. Her delivery was bad, she reminded me of the kind of girl you get in school who thinks she's better than everyone else and so believes she has a free pass to be mean to everyone. It felt horrible to watch.

they finally fixed it (hi hello) but basically cablevision fucked up big time and everyone was flipping out
