With the curtains open you can see to the front yard and into the kitchen+family room along with the dining+living room. When we bought the Frost House the family left behind a copy of the Sales Brochure. It's in a fragile state but provides some great details on the Alside Home (see more on the blog - link in profile). We also found out from @pegboardcollection who had chatted with the Dr. the following ...."He explained that the house was an Alside home and had been built as a model. When he and his wife first saw it, they loved it and said “We’ll take it!”. The salesman said that was great and they would happily build him one. He said, “No. I want this one. I want it now and I want all the furnishings too.” So that is exactly what he got. When I asked about the empty lot to the North, he said that he bought it so nobody could build "some ugly traditional house” on the lot." ... Happy Monday morning! 💛💚💙 Alside started out out in aluminum siding. It all began in 1947, when Jerome J. Kaufman, invented America's first residential baked enamel aluminum siding. The #AlsideHomes came with a choice or carport or garage + single or double. The doctor splurged - he went with the two car garage option. On the back wall is a pegboard with all the garden tools neatly arranged. #thefrosthouse 🌞🌳
