i have never seen a full episode of the tv show shameless but i have seen every single gallavich scene there is to watch (including the deleted scenes) and i would kill a grown ass man with my bare hands for mickey milkovich. like... i have SUCH vivid memories of when s4 of shameless came out and that club kiss and that coming out scene from mickey. even without watching the show, just being queer and online, it was SUCH a big moment and a big deal. idk if its because i followed people who watched it but it felt like tv history. anyways, it sucks so bad they wrote mickey out of the show, but i gotta say i have major respect for the actors who came back to it because that storyline for these two characters was so important to them. happy queer narratives ARE important, happy endings for queer characters ARE important. like, i know two things about cameron monaghan. the first one is that he was going to leave the show in s9 and he only agreed to two more seasons because they said they were going to bring mickey back and finish that storyline properly for them and it felt right to him for his character. which..... we got a gallavich wedding out of that so, thank you sir. the second thing i'm not sure is true, but i've chosen to believe because it's top tier and it's that he apparently gained weight on purpose for s11 because he thought ian would have a happy post-wedding weight gain which.... a mother-fucking intellectual.

again, i cannot stress how little i know about shameless outside of those two characters but ian's bipolar journey and mickey's journey in relation to that will NEVER not hit. s4-s5 gallavich my beloved, etc etc.
