Step 1: Fantasize about all the projects you want to start and how great it’s gonna be when you finish and show it to the world. Become extremely emotionally invested in their completion. Associate the completion of projects with personal happiness and self-worth.
Step 2: Obsessively plan out every detail of your first project.
Step 3: Attempt to start project.
Step 4: Avoid working on project for days/weeks/months because subconsciously you know it’ll never be as good as your sky-high expectations.
Step 5: Become overwhelmed with feelings of anxiety/fear/shame every time you think about the project, and the dozens of others you haven’t even begun.
Step 6: Fantasize about 10 more new projects.
