When Jun left Hatter’s after talking with Aquata, he was fuming. He had marched into the back of the Moon Market and threw a miniature fit-- it was not pretty, it did involve the kicking of several boxes, which did result in a broken toe, which did result in a tearful call to Mu-yeol hung for a quick healing-- but after, his mind was clear.
He would not let Aquata Triton get away with this.
She was not the only Board Member-- far from it. And Jun had allies, didn’t he?! And so he quickly called Al McWiggin and arranged a meeting about this new petition. It was very important that they do so out of the prying eyes of public...just in case. He didn’t need Aquata mobilizing in the same way that he was mobilizing. He had to be stealthy, and smarter than her!
And so he went to Al McWiggin’s house after hours. He only had a small window before he himself had to return to the Market to close it, but for now it was in the capable-ish hands of Eric and Haru. As soon as Al opened the door, he bustled in with his thick binder that he’d prepared for his talk with Aquata-- all that precious information that Aquata had ignored.
“Thank you so much for meeting with me!” exclaimed Jun as he went straight to Al’s kitchen table. “I’ve brought everything we need here-- everything about how this tax will negatively affect the Market, and projections about other businesses-- you would feel some effect, no? I don’t have to convince you that this thing is a horrible, horrible idea, do I?”
