Since Gamefreak wants to step back a bit on the pokémon business:
Maybe they could do all of us a favor... Look at this picture:
Seems pretty cool doesn't it?
I think that a complete pokémon world would be the perfect way to continue on other projects without letting their biggest income rest to much.
But how would they do it? I don't wanna be eleven all the time! Is that a way everyone would get the remake they want?
I don't know how they would do it, but I have a concept and I really want this to become reality:
You start with several voices explaining the world of pokémon, seeing landscapes from the different regions. Then you stand in the white room as always, the professors before you. They ask who you are (wouldn't it be cool if we got more than two gender options?), whats your name and your age. At this step you get a small character costumization screen (it will expand over time). After you finished this they will ask you where you are from, which leaves you with the option where you wanna start (just the region, i think town would go too far) and, depending on your age who you live with (you could get a dad!). When you choose a region (from the map), the professor for your region will step forward and say smth along the lines 'well, then come visit me once you settled in'. You wake up wherever you choose to live and the story starts with you getting your starter. They could make further story options, like not always stopping the current team, like built in side storys, letting you choose slowly if you are a fighter or smth different.
And what if I'm finished with that region?
Well i said slowly didn't I?
You can travel the pokémon world. Of course I know Gamefreak still wants to make money so you could get a certain number of regions, that you choose yourself, in the begging and having to pay a price (not like you would buy a full game) for a set of others. And the biggest advantage is that you could combine pokémons from different regions, your title as a champ being accepted all over (who didn't feel like they were high after the Galar league when everyone called you champ?), you growing with your pokémon world achievements. The people you meet remembering you. All of this would maje trusting you with saving the world a lot more understandable.
But what if I'm finished with the whole game?
Firstly, that would take very long. Secondly, after storyline fun is also great fun. You could fill the pokedex, go shiny hunting, exploring all regions to pieces. And:
Thirdly, who says that this would be the end?
Gamefreak themselves said that the pokémon development is now a smaller department, but even a smaller department is able to provide new pokemon, new side storys and maybe over time new regions, since DLC is now established in the pokémon world.
End of this post, pls reblog.
