#malazan book of the fallen#deadhouse gates#like it's places??? but mages use them???#also they can be broken/spoiled whatever???#and there's one for each race but humans get multiple???#fucking humans out all species#(yes i keep my anti human agenda running)#steven are you going to explain it to me some day#also thoughts:#Mappo and Icarium#that's it#that's the thought#and Kalam is a legend#but i read almost 850 pages FOR WHAT MISTER#and do i trust her words???#obviously not#but the team is so biased towards old emperor#and even before learning who he is#which went like 'what? that makes sense. anyway.' in like ten seconds in my mind#im like this is a fucking colonizing empire so Kell or Laseen to me they all suck#speaking of which Malaz is like England to me lmfao#but ffs do i need what the deal was between all these people#also the pannion thing#because it's now clear it will be important#but since book one i felt something about it#like there were so many things to digest and stuff#and i was like 'wait this sounds like something i've heard about' in this book 2#but the pannion domin just has an ominous vibe to it and that before i understood it's another rising empire (took a while)#anyway im scared of book 3#this thing is an absolute unit i could kill someone with it
