Bohnes’ Coffins stopped us in our tracks the moment we stumbled across it on our daily music discovery quests. We found ourselves melting straight into the earth to the tender and pastoral folk song, which tugs ever so gently but firmly on our heart strings. We later found out that Bohnes is Alexander DeLeon, the former frontman for rock group The Cab. Coffins is the lead single from his forthcoming full length, 206 Actll. Stripped back Coffins is a twangy heart on the sleeve ballad, with an aching earnestness and the wistful nostalgia you might find on a drive down a dusty country road. Its a grow old together, till death do you part sort of sweet and sentimental love song. We look back on our own golden memories with Bohnes as he serenades us with Coffins.
