I was going through my Altamire character notes and I completely forgot that I wrote this about Xenon's dad:

Working on the language of Bolai again and realizing that Altamire has very few foods that are also on Earth, and if they are in both worlds they tend to have different names

and I just feel so bad for Allen now because he's running around Altamire going "Marri help me buy food going to food stalls and shops is like trying to talk to someone speaking another language and the only word I know is 'bread' and I can't survive on that HELP ME PLEASE"

in other news I've officially changed the spelling of Marri's name (it was "Marry" but I've finally conceded and changed it to "Marri")

ATTENTION! ATTENTION! ALTAMIRE STATUS AND NEED A NEW SITE!

Due to a policy that I just found out Deviant Art has, I'm going to be taking down my account on there, so that means that Altamire is being taken down as well!

Altamire is NOT being taken off the web for good, I just need to find another place to post it!

If anybody knows a good site for uploading original written works, please let me know! Because I have tried to find one but haven't had much luck...

Altamire PSA

For those who used to keep up with Altamire back when I actually updated, and are still interested in it:

I have come to the realization that I don't like half of what I have previously done with it, so before I continue with new chapters I am going to work on rewriting old chapters and adding more backstory "interlude" chapters.

The rewrite will not affect the basic plot nor will it change too much about the characters, but there will be a lot of stuff that is changed along with me hopefully being able to tell the story better.

On top of that, it will also allow me to make various notes about the early chapters so that I remember what kinds of stuff happened, which I hadn't done before. The notes are more for me, but they're gonna be insanely helpful and hopefully get me moving stuff along faster (and will make sure that I don't accidentally contradict facts, which Marry definitely would have ended up doing if I continued on without a rewrite).

Anyways, that's the news as to what's going on with Altamire. Once I get started on the rewrite, I'm hoping to have at least one chapter out per month, possibly more if I have the time and motivation, or I may have to skip a month due to IRL stuff. We'll see how things go.

Flynn age 15/16, in his school uniform. Those uniforms had pockets in a really weird place... He played hooky a lot, it's a wonder he didn't get held back a grade or five.

In other news, I just realized that hand Flynn is using to scratch his head is backwards, not that I care too much since this was just a test doodle for ArtRage Studio.

This morning I was thinking about how the names of towns and other places in Altamire have actual meanings in the language of the people who founded them

and then realized that Faldor most likely means "Lava Town" in the language of the mountain people who settled it... how creative...

Fun Fact: In Altamire, unless otherwise stated in the story, none of the characters have a canon sexuality

I sort of want to start writing Altamire back stories again and I have the urge to work on Myou's and Riley's combined back story but I don't really want to be in tears for three chunks of writing while I'm at school

My other options are to write Cerena's or Marry's+Dori's but those aren't gonna be much better...

Or maybe I'll do Jess'...
