Some fun facts about The Prestigious and Highly-Efficient Academy of Alter Waters
Ethan, as a recurring character and all the story arks fueled by and involving him weren't planned from the beginning. He was meant to be a one time bully character and now he is the main reason I feel compelled to write a sequel.
The story was originally going to end at the Christmas chapter but due to ideas that eventually ended up constituting the final chapter and me feeling that I hadn't quite wrapped the story up the way I wanted it to, I decided to continue it.
Despite all this however, Baldric abusing Kevin and Kevin in turn abusing Nat had always been in my original plans.
I actually wrote this fanfic as a sort of response to Fifty Shades of Grey. It's purpose was to distinguish the difference between rape/abuse and BDSM, it was also meant to show off a more realistic BDSM relationship, though in the end Kevin and Edd's relationship only contained elements of BDSM. It still did fairly well though, in my opinion.
It is 189,609 words long (making it the longest kevedd fic to my knowledge) and took 4 months to complete.
Finally: Looking back on it, it has many problems but overall I am happy with the way the story turned out, and after editing it, I'm sure I'll be even more content. That being said, I am not too proud of it as a fanfiction, if it were my original fiction, I'd love it but I feel that a lot of the characters could have been represented better or more often.
