The Idk Song
*the idk song [Twilight Dawn ver.]*
The music video for "the idk song" is now available on my YouTube channel if you're interested. Unfortunately I didn't took much shots with the second look on my phone I had to get it developed from my film camera first because of how my hands got dirty from the black paint. I also recommend listening more with headphones/earphones on because it showcases more of the layers and details. The listening experience is just much more different. Only if you guys want to. 🙃 'The Idk Song' now available on many streaming services. Link in the title. 🖤🔘🤍
Pain Gain’s Pain Gain
"She Is Not a Beggar" – the fifth track of the landmark conceptual album "In the Era of the Dictator" by Egyptian composer and novelist Samir Hamdi.
This poignant, upbeat Egyptian folk-pop track tells the heartbreaking story of a dignified mother forced to seek help in the crowded Cairo Metro to feed her children. Carrying a baby and a simple blue bag, she gently coaxes her child to cry, delivering a painful plea that echoes through the packed car. Abandoned by a husband who chose his other wife and crossed his children out of his mind, she is left entirely on her own to face the cold wind of survival.
Yet, her face remains like a transparent mask of pure resilience. Though her reality is measured day by day, her soul rejects defeat and she refuses to let anyone see her weep. Sung in a smooth, native-flowing Franco-Arabic delivery by a solo female vocalist over a light, bouncy Egyptian Maqsum rhythm and a warm acoustic guitar, "She Is Not a Beggar" captures the devastating reality of a mother's pride dancing over the heavy silence of poverty.

"When the Cactus Blooms" – the fourth track of the landmark conceptual album "In the Era of the Dictator" by Egyptian composer and novelist Samir Hamdi.
This warm, melancholic indie-dance track tells the legendary, heartbreaking story of a devoted Egyptian son and his mother's silent battles against poverty. It begins with the simple joy of high school success, but soon shifts into a brutal fight for survival as a greedy relative cheats them of their inheritance. To pay for his mother's urgent medical treatment, Salah makes the ultimate sacrifice: he quits his engineering studies to work as a manual construction worker, carrying heavy bricks under the blistering sun.
Years of pain and devotion culminate in a beautiful, bittersweet moment when he returns home to find her dead, yet resting with a peaceful smile. At dawn, having given his everything, Salah disappears, leaving only the blooming cactus on her grave.
Blending deeply poetic lyrics (sung in a smooth, native-flowing Franco-Arabic delivery) with a bouncy, energetic indie-dance beat and an infectious retro-future synth pulse, "When the Cactus Blooms" turns a devastating tragedy of maternal love and filial devotion into a beautiful, resilient anthem.

"In the Era of the Dictator" – the title track of the landmark conceptual album by Egyptian composer and novelist Samir Hamdi.
This high-energy, upbeat electro-pop track is a powerful anthem celebrating human dignity and resilience in the face of exploitation. It tells the story of Khaled, an honest Egyptian migrant worker in Libya who refused to participate in cheating his fellow countrymen. Standing his ground against the travel office, he loses his job, faces extreme hunger, works as a manual porter, and is even unjustly jailed for standing up for his honor.
Yet, Khaled never bows. He saves his money and returns home, delivering the legendary final declaration: "I would rather live in my country without work, than live here where dignity is fear."
Blending deeply poetic lyrics (sung in a smooth, native-flowing Franco-Arabic delivery) with an infectious, bouncy electro-pop beat driven by handclaps and a lively darbuka, "In the Era of the Dictator" turns a brutal struggle for survival into a defiant, triumphant anthem of pride.
