What a lot people don't realise about professional athletes (especially track and field) is that a lot of the times it's just some girl or some guy that are actually pretty chill
#team sport athletes and espiecially men in sports where there is a lot of contact are either the best guy or the worst guy#but the girlies in track and field#although competitive#and driven#are sooooo chill#like they can seem intimidating but with my professors the ones that come from sport are the ones that are more chill#not easy to pass chill but they make more sense#and if you watch an interview of femke bol she's just a girlie#there was also that belgian shot putter that took one for the team and ran hurdles to avoid disqualification of the team#and people are like WOW and the girl that high fived her is also looked at as a hero but like... it's not that deep#they are not monsters looking at everyone else like an enemy#everyone there does the same thing as you and go through the same thing they are your people
