                       the  dimly  lit  bar  was  the  perfect  backdrop  to  her  anguish,  third  drink  swimming  in  her  veins  as  she  approaches  a  stranger  with  the  intention  of  buying  them  a  drink  to  catch  up  to  her.  voice  low,  crimson  lips  slightly  parted,  she’ll  sidle  up  beside  the  man  and  rest  an  elbow  on  the  bartop.  femme  had  a  way  with  words,  o  o  z  e  d  charm  when  she  knew  it  would  benefit  her  ..  her  choice  to  talk  now  merely  an  attempt  to  find  someone  to  go  home  with  because  she’d  rather  WARM  someone  else’s  bed  than  spend  the  night  on  her  own.  it  leads  to  trouble,  like  it  always  does  ..  her  arm  drawn  back  to  unleash  a  mean  punch  that  connects  directly  with  the  female’s  broad  nose  with  a  satisfying  crack.  scarlett  can  feel  the  heat  radiating  from  her  knuckles,  sharp  hiss  slipping  past  her  painted  brims  as  she  pulls  back  and  the  girl  stumbles  away  clutching  her  face.  as  bar  chatter  resumes  with  little  delay,  out  of  the  corner  of  her  eye  she  spots  a  smirk.  ‘  what’s  so  fuckin’  funny  ?  ’  brunette  quips  sharply,  suddenly  turning  her  head  to  the  man  seated  just  a  few  bar  stools  away  from  where  she  stood.  gaze  narrows  at  them  as  she  awaits  a  response  to  her  (  nothing  short  of  )  confrontational  inquiry,  trickle  of  blood  oozing  from  the  split  in  her  knuckle  and  leaking  slowly  down  her  middle  finger.

              every time she begins to think she could get used to this lifestyle , she’s crudely reminding by an email from her boss that this was simply a job . a job she’d gotten far too 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞𝐝 in for her own good , sure , but it’s still supposed to be a job . her first ever solo one too , for that matter .                she returns from her abrupt ‘ bathroom break ‘ which’d consisted of replying to her bosses email & powdering her nose , teetering through the masses of sweaty bodies as she continues to adjust to the height of her heels .. why couldn’t the world’s stereotype of club goers wear sneakers ?? fingers comb through bright orange tresses as she lowers herself to sit back down by his side , turning to face him with the s̶w̶e̶e̶t̶e̶s̶t̶ of smiles , tucking herself contently into his side .  “ you didn’t miss me too much , did you ?? or , at least , not enough to replace me with someone less attractive ?? “
