The Artwalk was set up by @neonworkshops founder Richard Wheater. After living in Seattle for 6 months and seeing a similar project running successfully there, when he returned to Wakefield he wanted to set up something similar in his home town. Over the last 10 years the Artwalk has grown and changed. Venues have varied from Chapels to Pubs, studios to empty shops ✨ To celebrate the Artwalk turning 10 this year we have a year of exciting things coming up, with a special focus on the summer Artwalks (May, July and September) Join us to kick off the 2018 year of Artwalks next Wednesday 31st 5-9pm 🙂 Where to start? There's no decided route, but a good way to find out what's happening is by visiting @thearthouseuk to pick up a map and check out their exhibition by their current artist in residence Rich White AND the work the WAP residency artists who @thearthouseuk and @weare_crux have been working with.
