favorite thing about them his eyes! they were what drew me to him as a character first. I love that they're just slightly weird enough to be notable, and theyre also just. lovely to look at, very big and dark and endearing and sometimes spooky!!

brOTP :) kakashi! he's fully yamatos favorite person, so its almost cheating for me to say this, i think. other than that, i loooove seeing his interactions with sakura and naruto a lot too.
OTP not a huge shipping person! i disagree fundamentally w/ the concept of otps! still. i do rlly like kakayamagai. i think theres a really good balance there
nOTP UHHHH i have some hesitations. about. obito and yamato. i don't think that would work out well at all. similarly with like kakayamaobi. i am pretty sure, given that obito reduced yamato to a hashirama themed war battery, for use attacking and harming yamato's friends and comrades, that yamato would not want to engage with obito in any meaningful way...like it's one thing when somebody hurts you, but it's another thing when they completely dehumanize you and force you to hurt your friends. i like obito as a character its just. no thank u.
random headcanon you wouldn't guess this but hes like. a pretty lazy cook. he likes things which take at most 3 steps to make, so he eats a lot of reheated food and raw ingredients. granola type guy. it makes more sense if you consider anbu's rigorous schedule. he probably hasnt had a lot of time to experiment with cooking.
unpopular opinion i have no idea what the popular opinions on yamato are. is he even a popular enough character to HAVE popular opinions about him? like he's not a side character exactly, but...most people seem to forget about him. so. uh. i guess my unpopular opinion is that i think hes one of the most interesting characters in naruto? i was going to say my unpopular opinion was that he has no problem criticizing kakashi or kakashi's methods, despite the depth of respect he has for the guy, but. that's not an opinion! that is actually canon!
song i associate with them big blue by vampire weekend, just bc it feels like its a cyclical song about wanting to belong and feel safe and love and not feel alone, and both receiving that, and also realizing one has to compromise on that, time after time. but also. that song is under two minutes. and only has one repeated verse. so. have this one, nightlights i by nana grizol. it feels very good. i think. it's very much a belonging song too.
