Alva Braziel is the most recent victim of police terror in the U.S. as he was shot 10 times by Houston police.

Alva Braziel was shot 10 times by the Houston police near a gas station in what the police say was a justified shooting because the man had a firearm and was pointing it at them.

However, surveillance video, reportedly taken from the nearby gas station, circulating on social media, showed Braziel standing in the street as he raised his arms above his head being shot within seconds after the police arrived.

713-308-3200 That's the number HPD gave when I called about the details of Alva Braziel's murder. This is the # for Houston Police Department's media relations office. Office hours are 9am-5pm M-F so I left a voicemail stating that I am a citizen of Harris county and I am inquiring about the release of the body camera footage and the names of the officers involved in #AlvaBraziel's murder, maybe they'll release the info maybe not. I also added that the community does not appreciate the spread of misleading information (HPD and the media is saying that he pointed a gun while surveillance videos show otherwise, both of his hands were in the air). A phone call is something simple we can do to make a difference. I've noticed that the coverage of this particular incident has already slipped through the cracks and we must apply pressure immediately if we want justice. #AlvaBraziel #HandsUpDontShoot #BlackLivesMatter
