Daily Drawing 184: Fox under the Stars

Reblogging that cute little squid reminded me of a story how a childhood friend of mine was almost kidnapped by an octopus. She was swimming in the sea at the Portuguese coast, when suddenly something grabbed her right arm and started tugging. The very self-confident little squid was about a feet long, including arms, and it tried to drag a ten-year-old human into the depth. They struggled for several minutes until it finally gave up, and swam away. She said that it was half fun because it was so cute, and half spooky, because it had a really tight grip, and she could not remove it (the official method is to bite them so they let go, but she did not want to hurt it). We had quite a lot of fun imagining it coming home with her, and telling it’s momma “I found something funny on the surface. Can I please please please keep it???”
