alright, children of tumblr, it's story time:
to make one part of this story shorter, my mom had a few drinks tonight and was unfit to drive, so I drove her car before going home, my mom wanted to stop at a grocery store quick to buy a few things for work tomorrow...they're having a small office party and my mom was chosen to bring chips/pretzels we pull out of the grocery store and my mom mentions something about wanting to go to McDonalds...luckily for us, there's a McDonalds right down the street from the grocery store we were at so we get into the McDonalds drive thru and a cop car pulls in behind us...my mom and I assume it's for the person in front of us because they made a not so legal turn to get into the drive thru nope, the cop was for us...you know why he pulled us over? because I forgot to put my moms headlights on!! I'm so used to driving my car with automatic headlights that it didn't even phase me that my moms older car didn't do that I explained the situation to the cop and he wound up letting us go with a slight warning...nothing too harsh...didn't mention that my mom was drinking but explained that I'm not used to driving her car and that was literally the problem he pulled us over for and to add insult to injury, on the way home a guy blew through a red light and there was not a cop in sight *sigh*
