@starrtennis I've always noticed that chamomile tea has never relaxed me when I was anxious. Is there a reason for this? Is the concentration not high enough, do I need a tincture instead? Or is it not sourced well?
Obviously I can’t speak for your body... but as someone with clinical anxiety, I can say that Chamomile doesn’t make me stop being anxious, nervous, worried, or high-strung. If you’re also struggling with severe anxiety, I’d also talk to a doctor. But, assuming you’ve either done that or have more mild anxiety... here’s what I’ve found: For me to feel relaxed drinking Chamomile, I have to do the whole process purposefully.
I set out with the goal of relaxing. I heat the water and pour the drink without other distractions. I sit in a quiet space, maybe with calming music or by a window, and I sip the chamomile. I breathe in the scent of the tea. I take some deep breaths. I might pray to Frigg (who I associate with Chamomile for it’s relation to children, comfort, and caretaking) or to Eir (who I associate with Chamomile due to it’s healing nature). It is when these other things are in place that the calming affects of chamomile are noticeable for me.
I would, obviously, be a bit calmer doing all this with any tea, but I do find that chamomile is more calming than, say, black tea or a raspberry herbal mixture.
Of course, you could also look into the concentration of your tea, experiment with other ways of taking chamomile, and/or try other sources. :) A lot of herbal work is a lot of experimentation, in my experience! And Chamomile is a quite safe one to experiment with.
💗 I came, I saw, I had anxiety, so I left, badge >> does this sound like you?
I dont understand why I am feeling so anxious these past few days. It's like my chest wants to bust open. I feel so uneasy. Nothing I do brings me joy or enjoyment anymore. Everything just sucks. And no matter what I do to think about it I just can't figure it out.
I just want to scream and cry but even that doesn't help me get rid of this emotion. I wish I knew why I was feeling like this.
Anxiety
So like, for some reason, I will randomly have trouble breathing, feeling like I'm panicking, but I'll literally just be lying in my bed, with nothing happening.
Help..
Does anyone else get nervous when they send nudes? Like I try to make mine tasteful and I'm always worried the person I'm sending them to isn't going to enjoy them
