The best way to describe destiel is the journey of Castiel becoming Cas for Dean.

They snuggle, Dean would whoelheartly say it is manly holding, he doesn't know why he gets such absurd ideas.

What happens behind closed doors stay that way. No one sees that Dean is held by Cas, not only by hand but also by his wings.

It becomes a routine. Life has a way of breaking perfect things. When angels fall, Cas too loses his wings and he can't hold Dean the way he used to. The wings now, a painful reminder of his past.

One day, when Cas is holding him and his wings are a carcass of broken desire, Dean flips him and holds him, till Cas melts and gets closer.

Dean, all 6'2", human with no wings, Molds himself around the one person who gave him everything and gave up everything for him. Cas had never felt more together in his existence.

When Cas becomes human after the fall, he doesn't know what to do with it. With this new humanness.

He is praying, desperately. He asks, what do I with this?

Unknown to him, Dean is behind the door and he comes inside, kneels behind him, and says, one hand on his cheek, "you get to loved by me, and feel it too."

He prays silently, Dean still besides him, "okay, okay, I understand now."

He says to Dean, "okay, Dean"

No words were spoken after that.

There are people who meet and just fall together, the universe aligns itself in a way that all makes sense. All the broken, unfit and unlit pieces that never could make a whole, become and the life comes full circle and bloom.

That was the first thing- Dean wrote in his journal after he met Castiel and sparks flew.

I love how everyone in the Supernatural universe knows that Dean and Cas are meant for each other, except for Deana me Cas.

Cas keeps saying I love you to Dean, and Dean just physically can't. But he doesn't not want to reply....

Cas: I love you.

Dean: than you

Cas: I love you

Dean: I love me too

Cas: I love you

Dean: I know

Cas: I love you

Dean: okay

After 367 days of listening to Cas saying I love you, Dean wants to say I love you, since English is difficult, he says in diffident languages. First becomes Enochian.

Cas: I love you

Dean: olani hoath ol

Cas has the biggest smile on his face and looks at Dean and later it would become a tradition and Dean would know 367 languages or I love in 367 languages.
