3 simple questions about your OC
Got this from @f-ernace and it is an excuse to talk about the women in my head.
This is Aly'va. She is a Peace Domain Cleric of Eilistraee and has been through some rough shit. She's better now though. This HeroForge mini is the best photo i got. I should really get some money together and get some art for her.
Why is your character’s eye color the way it is? Is it random, or not?
I really like purple eyes on Drow, I also made her way back before i knew a lot about Drow, i just knew it was an option other than red from The Pretty Boy, Drizzt.
Who gave your character their name?
I pulled her name from that one dragon magazine table. In world it would have been her birth name, but tbh I've never put much thought into her parents. According to the table her name translated to Singing Comrade or Song Honored, not sure which i like better.
Does your character have tattoos? What do they mean?
She doesn't have any. She's all for self expression, just tattoos don't really speak to her.
I am finally making a proper post about Aly'va Omryn, my Peace Domain Cleric of Eilistraee. She is a character i made for an eventual Out of the Abyss campaign.
Aly'va is in her 350 in the 1480s to 1490s, roughly middle-aged for a Drow. She was born into Eilistraee's faith and became a Sword Dancer, fairly young. Aly'va was based mostly in the Promenade of the Dark Maiden. She had a wife named Xuna and a young daughter named Erelffyn. Aly'va was injured and taken away through a Moonspring and wasn't able to return till after the battle was over and Eilistraee was gone. All she ever found of Xuna and Erelffyn was Xuna's acid melted armor. Alive and with no godess to guide her, Aly'va tried to keep going and ignore the loss she was feeling, but it just wasn't the same. Eventually, she was found by a group of people who offered to take the pain away, Aly'va eagerly accepted. She fell in with a cloister of sharrans and began to forget herself. The things Aly'va did during this time, she is too ashamed to talk about.
But one day Aly'va heard a faint song on the wind, a song she had all but let herself forget. She let it carry her away, and she eventually came to rest in Waterdeep, away from those who wanted her to forget. Aly'va founded a new life for herself, taking the song as a sign to return to her born faith. Aly'va would eventually come to fall in love again. This time, with a human blacksmith named Edren. Edren forged her a new sword for his proposal. They would so be married and have a half-drow daughter named Phyra. (Because I am a monster and can't let her be happy) Edren fell ill, as Eilistraee had not yet returned, Aly'va was helpless to cure Edren and was forced to watch as he slowly passed, leave her alone with Phyra, who was only 10 at the time. Aly'va continued raising Phyra alone and teaching her Eilistraee's faith. Phyra regularly got herself into trouble with her adventurous spirit, causing Aly'va constant worry.
Phyra was barely an adult by the time Eilistraee returned. Aly'va and Phyra met up with the returning Eilistraeens and assisted it the construction of The Dancing Haven. Aly'va has brought Phyra down to the rebuilding site of the Promenade, but Aly'va is hesitant to stay down there. Phyra soon took up a paladin oath to Eilistraee. Aly'va and Phyra, along with a couple of others, were sent to go out and find old shrines to help reconnect them to the Promenade and see if they can find others to help in the construction of the Promenade. While staying in a small village, it is raided by Drow, and while the others get away, Aly'va is captured, and so begins the campaign.

I'll leave the tag open for anyone who wants to do this!
34 for Aly'va and 49 for Relqwyn!
34. What would be some of the signs your OC is starting to push people away?
Aly'va would become quieter, detached, and irritable. It would take a lot for her to actually try to push somebody away, she is very forgiving.
49. Does your OC fear death?
Of course not, Relqywn doesn't afraid of anything. She is absolutely afraid of death, the thought of facing Lolth as the failure she is is one of her greatest fears.
Hello! I'd love to ask about Aly'va from this list:
3. If your OC could revisit their childhood, what would they want to change about it, if anything at all?
14. Does your OC hold grudges? How good are they at letting things go? Do they believe in second chances?
31. Are there any places or people your OC is avoiding?
Thanks!
Thanks for the questions!
If given the opportunity to change her childhood, Aly'va would want her parents back. They were killed when she was much younger. She sometimes wonders what life would be like if they had been around.
Aly'va doesn't hang on to grudges... anymore. It has become a very active choice for her to let go and forgive. Offering second chances is one of the big things she focuses on with her Eilistraee worship.
Aly'va avoids the Promenade as much as possible. She doesn't tend to voice her discomfort if she is needed there though. The Promenade holds a lot of rough memories from the death of her family and Eilistraee.
oc ask game: 13, 29 & 42!
13. What is something your OC does (to others) that they would not like if others did to them? Are they aware that they do this?
Relqwyn is a harsh judge of others, but it is not easy for her to accept criticism. She's kinda aware of this? She just thinks she has a right to judge that others don't
29. What are three traits your OC has that can both have positive as well as negative qualities?
Relqwyn is rather headstrong and stubborn. If she wants something she is gonna get it, but you're gonna have a hard time dissuading her.
42. How easily influenced by others is your OC?
Relqwyn is very stubborn, would rather die than admit she was wrong.
Aly'va is much more willing to work with others and that opens her up a bit more to outside influence.
For the character asks, 19 for Aly'va, 8 for Relqwyn
Questions
8. What is the origin of their personality? And let's be honest - how much of it is projecting?
Relqwyn is kinda mean most of the time, but she has a secret want to be close to others. Born as the youngest daughter of a noble drow house, along with having a Szarkai twin sister, that her mother paid more attention too. She was neglected compared even by drow standards. Her twin sister was the only one she was really close too. It got worse for her when her twin turned up murdered. Naturally, Relqwyn's mother assumed she was jealous and killed her, despite her actual innocence and lack of evidence. As a punishment her mother put her in her brother's position of captain for the house's forces, instead of send her off to priestess school like all of her sisters. Being unable to rise in her house and losing her only really friend. left her rather bitter.
19. What is your general favourite thing about the character? What is your least favourite?
I love Aly'va's outfit, it is a night sky blue dress with silvery glitter to look like stars, she has a few silver bracelets and sliver, crescent shaped earrings with moonstones in them. Lots of dark with big pops of light.
My least favorite thing is how hard it is for me to get into her head, she's 350ish years old, with mountains of experience i don't have, and can't really have. Makes it hard to get a solid feel about how she should react to certain things.
