It must be because I pray sincerely every day so that I might have the chance to be alone with Taizi Dianxia.

My first post
How to begin? I suppose I can start off by telling you how many times I've sat down to write this now:
Let's see, it was about 3 weeks ago that I first had the urge to sit down and write something down that would eventually result in my first blog-post. But as I walked into the back room where the computer is I have a constant sense of where Grandma is. I have my 6 month old daughter strapped to me as I try to squat at the computer chair. I just get logged onto my desktop, and bounce the baby to sleep when I hear from the kitchen: "Damnit where are The Girls?"
That was my cue; to her, I am 'The Girls.'
"What's up Grandma?" I say from the other room.
"How do I turn this on?" She's standing in front of the sink, with a cup in her hand; she's trying to get water.
"Here grandma, I'll get you some ice water from the fridge."
She then talks about wanting to go on a walk and by this point the baby is awake again. So I didn't start this post that day. Or any other time I attempted to in the last 3 weeks.
In fact, I wrote the first half of this last night, when the baby was sleeping, grandma was getting ready for bed, and my husband was taking alone time. I'm only now continuing it the next day, as my infant rolls around on the floor with her toys and I wait for my cousin to come pick up Grandma for a bit.
That's my life. It's crazy and hectic and I sit down to try to accomplish tasks multiple times.
The Mountain
Moon dripped mountaintop
Tell the story of the sea
So that I may weep
For all those who have
Walked this cruel earth before me
Dreaming of sleep
For they do not know
The void is dark and onyx
Nightmares pave their path
This is part of a poetry challenge where I had to write a poem consisting of 3 haikus. A haiku is a Japanese style of poetry with 3 lines. It has 5 syllables in the first line, 7 syllables in the second line and 5 syllables in the third line.
