@amaarok || Aquila
“C’mon guys, can’t we be civil?” The words were spoken in feigned concern, her voice bouncing off the brick walls of the narrow ally she had led the small group of men into. Though admittedly Aquila had artfully mastered the technique in playing the victim, allowing the group to clearly believe that they were the ones that had led her there.
The poor fools.
“You go and make us look like fools inside ... and now you want to be civil?” the main man in charge sneered the words as he continued to step forward until the woman had nowhere else to go, the handful of men at his sides laughing softly as if they had just won something, entirely unaware of the fact that they were about to have the exact opposite happen to them. For a brief moment, anybody that would be watching Aquila would feel as if their eyes had grown unfocused, and while it would seem as if she hadn’t moved at all ... the power of her illusion allowed her to move freely around them with utter ease.
She would have gotten away with all of this too, her hand slipping into the first person’s pocket, just as the sound of a deeper voice calling from the entrance of the ally caught everybody’s attention ...
And just like that, the power of her illusion snapped.
“Hey, wha-” “How did- “What’s going on!?”
With the sight of Aquila now standing behind them with her hand in her pocket, skillfully hiding away the wallet she had just picked, she merely stood there blinking a couple times, only vaguely aware of the assumed stranger that was approaching them...
