"Did you know that people with guilty consciences are more easily startled by loud noises [train horn]"
Connor is trapped in an abusive relationship with Amanda and Hank doesn't even know she exists and that is so interesting to me.
Connor has a person that is constantly monitoring him, constantly judging him, telling him what to do, openly disapproving of Connor getting closer to someone else, outright threatening him in the calmest and most sympathetic tone of voice, who has convinced him that he has no worth outside of what he can do for her.
And no one knows.
She might as well not exist. She technically doesn't, she's just a program running in Connor's head. Connor never tells a soul in the game about Amanda. She's like a demon possessing him.
I just want to explore more about those dynamics, about what that means for Connor, both during the game and in the aftermath.
Has he been ordered not to tell anyone about Amanda?
What would it take for Connor to tell someone - assuming he doesn't tell Markus out of necessity. Does he tell Markus what happened without explicitly explaining who Amanda is, like he does in game when he talks about sending reports to 'Cyberlife' and 'self testing' for deviancy?
Is Connor aware of what their relationship dynamic looks like?
Does it affect Connor in the aftermath, losing her?
Does it affect Connor's relationships with others, especially Hank?
How would others react to finding out about Amanda? Would they recognise the dynamic at play?
Why did Cyberlife put their deviant hunting android in an abusive relationship with his handler program in the first place?
if i had a nickle for every android amanda gave mommy issues to i would have two nickles. which isn’t a lot but its weird that it happened twice
This is how talks with Amanda go like on the deviant route, right?
I saw this meme from Spiderverse somewhere and thought about these two, so I had to commit
“I will haunt him forever until the day he sticks a gun up his mouth and pulls the trigger just to get me out of his head.”
I think it's so funny that Connor's level of autonomy is so much higher than other androids' that he's practically a deviant from the beginning in a lot of ways, but CyberLife needed to still be able to control him and make him obey them, so they basically programmed an abusive mom into his head to gaslight and psychologically abuse him on a regular basis
Fuck Amanda man, all my homies hate Amanda
