Iridescent, heaven, tea!
iridescent: what is your skincare routine?
Okay. So. I came back up to edit this because it got really long. I also edited it so it looked pretty and basically this turned into something much more in depth than anyone expected including myself.
Also A LOT of these products I got deluxe sized samples of for various reasons and did not pay for the full size.
Skin Type: My roommate works at Sephora and (affectionately) refers to my skin as “butterfly wing skin.” Which means I actually have sensitive skin. I’m also dry to combination, with isolated breakouts. Lately I’ve found that OleHenriksen works really well for me and you can find the three main products I listed here in a set which is basically 3 for the price of 1.
Make up removing: Ideally I would be able to use the Tatcha Camellia Cleansing Oil every night because it’s incredible, but alas, I am not made of money. I use the OleHenriksen orange wipes.
Cleansing: OH Gel Cleanser, First Aid Beauty Red Clay Cleanser, Angels on Bare Skin
Morning: OH Truth Serum followed by the Sheer Transformation Perfecting Moisturizer. I don’t use a toner because most are too astringent for me, and a lot of them have ingredients like rose in them which I am allergic to.
Eye Cream: Belif Eye Bomb
Other daytime moisturizing products I love: Drunk Elephant B-Hydra gel. Belif Aquabomb. Tarte Drink of H2O moisturizer.
Tinted moisturizer: Dr. Jart Ceramidin Day Tint It’s definitely too dark for me but fuck it.
Night: OH Invigorating Night Transformation Gel (this is an acid/chemical exfoliator and pretty much one of the only ones I can use), followed by the Sheer Transformation Moisturizer again.
Other night time products I love: Drunk Elephant LaLa Retro Whipped Cream
Oils: Fresh Seaberry Oil, Drunk Elephant Marula Oil, The Ordinary Marula Oil (much more affordable, quality difference is tbd)
Sheet Masks: Any and all Dr. Jart ones, Belif Aquabomb (if you’ve made it this far, are you really that shocked?)
Face Mask: Mask of Magnaminty
Zit-Zapper: Grease Lightning
Also because for some people (me) skin care can also be a problem with hair products because I tend to break out on my scalp at the slightest provocation:
