What do I tell the moon?
Of the things I keep buried in my heart,
Or the secrets inked into my diary’s worn pages?
Should I ask it for its bravery—
How it chooses to be alone in the vastness of space?
Or should I beg for its magic—
The way it disappears, only to return brighter than before?
Maybe I could whisper how much I long to reach it.
Maybe I could lose myself just watching it,
Letting silence speak where words can’t.
Sometimes, all you need is the moon’s light
To remember how to forget your pain.
