Ok, so:
DS1: Cariana of Astora - Rising from nothing, lowlier than the lowliest of dirt, Cariana linked the fire and sired a line that lasted for ages unknown.
DS2: Eanswyth, monarch of Drangleic - Many generations later, a descendant of Cariana would be chosen to link the flame once more. Abandoning her duty, Eanswyth travelled east in search of a cure to the curse of the Undead. She seized the throne of Drangleic and the crowns of four kings, then bitterly abandoned it, seeking another, more permanent way to end her curse.
DS3: Amatea of the Boreal Valley - Chosen by the flame to ascend, after her grandmother, Eanswyth, abandoned the duty of their line, Amatea tried to link the fire but failed. After time unknown, the flame would call to her again - to rise and return the Lords of Cinder to their thrones. Willing to perform her duty, Amatea set forth with a singular goal: linking the fire. But with each death and each defeat, and poisoned by the sweet words of Yuria of Londor - Amatea betrayed the Flame, not becoming the Lord of Hollows, but letting it fade, finally calling forward the age of Water.
Bloodborne: Tasha Wort, Professor of Byrgenwerth - A sweet sunrise might have called to her, but she ascended in pure childhood.
