"Bitch."
Scoffing at his brother’s remark, he remained silent but couldn’t help the slight grin appearing across his lips. With the shake of his head, his eyes rolled.
“Jerk.”

"—What the hell are you doing Dean?"
Hunting Spirits || Dean and Val
Val sat back in the pub, cooling her heels as she regrouped. Damn it was like chasing a ghost story, half the town had no clue, the other had stories so wild she dismissed most of them. She took a long draw off her hot coffee and stared out into the rain that'd stopped her progress midmorning as the townspeople vanished inside to escape the storm. She dropped her payment on the table, calling a thank you in flawless Finnis before vanishing out into the downpour. She paid little mind to the icy chill, her magic fueled core temperature keeping it from affecting her. The idea gnawing at her suddenly steered her towards the north edge of town, and the forest. Finally on the edge of town she picked her pace up into a run, hiking boots sloshing after a few deeper than expected puddles. She growled but kept going, the realms felt thinner up ahead and thought that would be a good place to search for this supposed monster of Norse legend. She broke into a faerie circle and grinned, twirling into the center of it. The joy and mischief of the creatures that lived there permeated the air and the soil and she was filled with it. Val buried her hands in the muddy earth and found that solid, thrumming connection with Yggdrasil. Painstakingly slow was an understatement as it stopped raining before Val finished getting a feel for the land. She was intuned enough with it that the presence of the dark creature made her breath catch. That was it! It was here in town! She launched into the twilight sky, wings unfurling to take her towards the darkness. Landing a half a block behind it she caught up quickly, dragging the being into an alleyway. Val acted on instinct, slamming him into the wall, cold blade to his throat when she froze. He wasn't a draugr! He was something else entirely. "What are you doing here?" She hissed, intent on stalling for time until she could figure out what he was. She looked fit to be a draugr herself, her clothes soaked still and her hair plastered down around her head and across her face. Some wicked little pixies had tucked flowers and twigs into it when she'd been focused on the land earlier, and her face had streaks of mud on it. "I will know if you lie," she hissed, breath hot enough to cause steam clouds in the chilled air.
