my first experience with queer representation was in a whodunit murder book series set in the 1930s and i just want to say that i think the bar is too low for some of you
#murder most unladylike#this was the first time i found out characters could be lesbians#there are multiple gay characters#and relationships#quite accurate to the time#also has commentary about the laws and stuff of the time#but seriously like if she can do it#you can too#she also completed the incredible feat of not making every character white#including the main character imagine that#also it’s just fantastic#i read it quite young but it’s still good#amazing plot twists#highly recommend for whodunnit enjoyers
