Jesus's timing is perfect. He's never too late or too early. Often times, we want things instantly. To be honest, I'm impatient. I want to accomplish things quickly, but I'm learning to dance with God's clock not mine. Why? Because He sees the beginning and the end and He knows best. When the timing is right, He will fulfill His plan for you instantly. Jesus can do far much more in a millisecond than we can in a thousand years. Why then doesn't He fulfill His purpose for us immediately? He wants to build our character. Jesus never has a small plan for each one of us. His plans are always big, so big it's often seems impossible. That's why we need to grow in character. Jesus wants to make sure we're ready to take on the big responsibility and that we are good stewards sharing whatever He has blessed us with others. We often think that if God isn't answering our prayers or don't do something to solve our problems, His answer is no. But there's a difference between no and not yet. Yes, sometimes He'll say no because He has a better and bigger plan for us or whatever we wish for can harm you and/or others. But not yet simply means we're not ready or it's not the right time yet. After high school, I was stuck in Indonesia for a year doing nothing, confused and hopeless searching for an answer to my purpose. But now I see that one year horrible wait was necessary for me to be where and who I am today. Without the wait, I wouldn't have the opportunity to stay in the United States. Without living here, I wouldn't have met my fiancee who brought me closer to Jesus. And without Jesus, I wouldn't discovered my gift in #running. And with Jesus I also found freedom, hope, peace, joy and an unending and unconditional love. Good things come to those who wait on the Lord (Lamentations 3:25) Jesus says in John 13:7 "You don't understand what I'm doing now, but someday you will."
