She was our awesome tour guide for our past 3 days in Cappadocia, Turkey! We went hiking (in our @melissashoessg) and I am glad that I survived the super steep slopes and climbing along the amazing valleys for 3 hours on our first day of arrival in Cappadocia from Istanbul. Our Melissa’s Shoes are still surviving well after going through so much with us! The second day (yesterday) was great with the morning Hot Air Balloon Flight with surprise panoramic view and continuing on with our North Cappadocia Tour to the Göreme Open Air Museum, Pasabag, Devrent Valley, and lastly the Fairy Chimneys near Urgup. Continuing with the Whirling Dervishes Ceremony that is a really unique experience and ending with our awesome dinner at Pumpkin Art Gallery.
Today has been great as well! Started off with the South Cappadocia Tour to many interesting sites where we started off with Trekking (yes, again) where I slip and fell and have a little bump on my palm and I have to “slide” down the steep and slippery slopes, and many beautiful valleys such as the Red Valley, Rose Valley, Cavusin Valley, Pigeon Valley, Love Valley and Uchisar Castle with a Spectacular Panaromic View over the mountains across Cappadocia! And you shouldn’t miss the Underground City, it’s so amazing to learn on how one can work around to keep themselves safe and alive underground with fascinating stables, cellars, storage rooms, wineries and even a rock door! . . It would’ve have been such an incredible trip without a great tour guide like @elifeorhan! And not forgetting the wonderful friends we met from all over the world. Will update their photos soon! . . Another 2 more days in Kapadokya!
Looking forward to our self-planned Sunrise ⛅ watching tomorrow dawn in the early morning with our friends, Kate and Jeff from London! They are a really sweet lovely couple who has been together for 38 years and we would love to meet them up if we were to travel to London in the near future!
