Amazon crashed!!

AWS services are now pretty much unavailable so we lost a good chunk of the internet. Little FYI btw our entire and i mean ENTIRE internet is being held together by 3 large corporations.

Amazon being one.

Google the second.

And microsoft the third.

If we lose all 3 of them the internet will go lifeless pretty much instantly.

Glad to learn that if Amazon is down I can't study for ANY of my college classes :)))))))

Okay the Amazon outage makes me think of one of my favorite anime movies, Summer Wars (2009) and if you watch it you'll get why. (I shan't spoil)

Mostly lighthearted comedy with heartfelt beats and a wacky family, then, surprisingly, very big stakes.

It makes me cry every time I watch it (tears of sad AND tears of inspirational hope). Gets me right in the feels.

Despite being 16 years old it's VERY RELEVANT to our current world in a 😬 yikes sort of way. In a "ah yeah we saw this coming huh" sort of way. Very prescient movie that came out only a few years after Facebook was launched.

(I prefer the English dub to subtitles on this film because there are many, many characters, and there are scenes where they're all talking over each other, and the dub helps me keep track of who's saying what. Plus the voice acting is very nicely done).
