I love Cowboy Dodge Mason, but Waiter Dodge Mason is very important to me.

Imagine Dodge Mason taking you to a dive bar on the outskirts of town to get away from all the opinionated busy bodies in Carp. He'd put his hand on the small of your back or rest it on your hip as he guides you into the bar and you find an empty table in the corner where you can listen to dad-rock blaring out of a beaten up jukebox. No one would check your IDs so he'd order beers and lounge back in his seat, resting his elbow on the top of it's seatback as he tips the bottle back and takes contemplative swigs.

You glance around, taking in the neon lights and the buzz around you, lowering your eyes to the table when a guy at least ten years your senior eyes you salaciously. You try to suppress your shiver but Dodge notices, eyeballing the guy and shrugging out of his leather jacket before standing up and draping it over your shoulders. Rubbing his hands up and down your arms he crouches before you and making sure you're ok. Nodding your head you plaster a smile on your face that becomes infinitely cheesier and more authentic when Dodge drops a kiss to your cheek. "You sure you're ok?" he whispers and you nod, lacing your fingers together and squeezing.

Standing back up to his full height, keeping your hands joined, Dodge returns to his own seat, tugging you into his lap and wrapping his arm around your shoulders. "Just making sure they know you're with me," he whispered in your ear, settling deeper into his seat. "Just them?" you grin? Shaking his head, Dodge tucks you under his chin and brings the bottle back up to his lips, "I'll never let anything happen to you. You know that, right," he murmurs and warmth spreads through your belly as you snuggle in closer, running your fingers through his hair and pressing a kiss to his jawline. Reaching across the table, Dodge brings your drink over in front of you and you snuggle your face into his shoulder, feeling safe and ready to see what else the night has in store for the two of you.

The girl was lonely. Then one day, there was a storm. It rained for days and days. The water climbed and climbed, higher and higher. Soon, the stone people were trapped, begging the wind to take them to safety. But the stone people were too heavy to carry. Then the wind spotted the girl made of dirt. She would be no problem to carry. So the wind opened its arms, and the girl made of dirt turned to air…and flew
