So today was my first ever shift at my first ever job. It was pretty calm and nothing was really happening UNTIL like 10 minutes before we closed, these 2 drunk ladies came in. One of them was holding a cup with something in it. We don't allow outside drinks, so one of the supervisors politely told her she couldn't bring it.
Drunk lady 1: *Slurred speech* It's just water. It's fine.
Supervisor: I'm sorry but I can't have you bringing your own drink.
Drunk lady 1: It's just water, though.
Supervisor: I understand that. You can buy another water here, you just can't bring this one.
Drunk lady 1: It's just- It's just a Ginger Ale, cause my stomach hurts.
Supervisor: Well, we also have Ginger Ale, so you can just buy another one.
Drunk lady 1: *Dramatically throws her drink on the ground before entering the dining area with her friend*
The ladies order several drinks before getting their food. Drunk lady 1 orders shrimp that she believes is raw. She sends it back. It is cooked more and brought back to her. She is still not satisfied.
Drunk lady 1: *Speech even more slurred than before* This is still raw.
My co-worker, who I was shadowing: No, that's not raw. I'm not really a shrimp person, but I know that's not raw.
Drunk lady 1: I'm not a shrimp person either, but when I eat it at home it's much darker.
Drunk lady 2 begins backing up her friend by just repeating the things she says
Co-worker: Would you like something else?
Drunk lady 1: No, I want my shrimp. I just want them cooked.
Drunk lady 2: You should've ordered them blackened.
Drunk lady 1: I don't want blackened, I just want cooked.
Co-worker: Okay, I'll get my manager and he can help you.
Drunk lady 2: No, don't do that-
Drunk lady 1: *points at me* She isn't the manager??
Mind you, I haven't said a word to any of these people, I'm visibly nervous, and I don't even have a name tag. Why would I be the manager?
Me: No, I'm just shadowing her, it's my first day.
Drunk lady 2: I want your waistline!
I'm very clearly uncomfortable
Drunk lady 2: Seriously, honey, you've got a great body.
My manager walks over and deals with them. Drunk lady 1 is still very upset about her shrimp and is refusing everything my manager offers. The women storm off to the bathroom together.
