Crowley takes Aziraphael to the cinema to see Coraline…
Watching Good Omens: My 5 Step Plan
So I was over at a friend’s house celebrating their birthday and the topic of Good Omens came up. They had never watched the show and because I was slowly inducting people into the ranks of the Good Omens fan base I had to convince her to watch it.
Thus my five step plan was born, enjoy:
Step 1:
Let me (or someone who has watched it) ramble on about it for a few minutes and tell you why you’d like it. I’m not about to sit here and just say to watch it if it’s not going to be in your interests. How rude would that be?
Step 2:
Watch the masterpiece that is Good Omens. It’s on Amazon Prime, it’s only six episodes which total about six hours of content to binge. It’s great. You can watch it in an afternoon sitting and then eat dinner at a reasonable time.
Step 3:
After you have completed the six hours of pure brilliance take a moment and reflect. Gaze into the void and think of the wonder you just watched. Take a few minutes and appreciate the people who brought it to life.
Step 4:
Listen to “Good Old Lover Boy” by Queen and “From Eden” by Hozier. You will not regret it in the slightest.
Step 5:
And lastly, talk and rant about it for hours with me or someone who’s watched it. Understand you are obsessed. Embrace it. Cherish it. It’s definitely a good thing to be in love with.
Bonus Step:
If no one told you previously it is actually based off a book by Neil Gaiman and Terry Prachett under the same name. The show is super accurate to the plot and tone of the book because Neil Gaiman actually wrote the script. So if you like books there is one waiting, and it’s great.
Conclusion:
What are you still doing here? Start my plan! You won’t regret it.
